1966 Star Trek AMT Klingon Battle Cruiser Model Box This is the antique cardboard box only (no model) from the 1966 AMT Star Trek Klingon Battle Cruiser Space Ship Model Kit, amt #S952 250 (model number is stated on the box). The box cover states "Alien Battle Cruiser from the 'Klingon Warrior Empire' (the Star Trek episode, we are guessing), as seen on Star Trek". On the side of the box it states "As seen on NBC TV". The bottom piece of the box on the underside has impressed numbers in the center, "100-387". The box closed measures 14 1/2 x 10 3/8 inches and 2 1/2 inches in depth. We have provided 7 images, to show from all sides and each top/bottom piece inside.

We believe this to be the original vintage 1966 model box, given the older person's home it came out of and based on research. This old box is in presentable and good condition for its age, but it is not mint. The top has a 2 1/2 inch line crease and other creased areas and is a bit concave...as if it was pushed in slightly in the middle, with the edges slightly higher than the center portion (that is, it is not level or straight across). The top has a paper tear at the edge on one side, a piece of old tape on the opposite side which is lifting up (it looks like the box originally came taped on these two sides to keep it closed, with the paper tear resulting from the other piece of tape having been taken off), scratches in the top center portion (one long one 4 1/2 inches and other shorter ones), small bends/tears along the bottom edges, and other age & wear from sitting around. The box bottom portion is bent/crushed on three sides (you can see some of this in the image), with the inside glued flap portions coming unglued in spots (but still definitely attached), and tearing at the corners. None of this is unexpected for something that was opened and used by a kid (as the former owner told me), and of this age.

Still would look nice on display and be a good addition to a collection of Star Trek TV show toys, as these boxes are hard to find.
