Produced by Vermont Mid-Century studio potter Stanley Ballard, a student of Glidden Parker at Alfred University in the 1940s who worked in the Burlington area, this Ballard #40 cedar green wall pocket is mady by combining two standard Ballard pieces.
The #40 small 2 1/2 inch tall planter is sprigged onto the basic #32/61 5 inch square dish which has had a hole drilled into it to hang from the wall. The original $1.05 price is still visible written in pencil on the bottom. Excellent condition. |
