Shown on page 60 of the Paradis 1944-1969 Post-War Era book on Haeger, this Royal Haeger covered cigarette box is named there the Cube Checked Cigarette Box. It measures 7 inches long x 4 inches wide. It is most likely a Royal Hickman design as most of the numbers in the range of production carrying the R were.

It features a base and lid with crosshatching in what I think is the Persian Grey glaze. The lid or finial of the piece is figural, most likely a fish or a stylized whale, a common Hickman design.
