This Royal Haeger gem is the creation of master ceramicist Bruchmann whose Etruscan line is reminiscent of the other 'volcanic' glazes found on Mid-Century lines. The body is standard Haeger shape, R1919 a bottleneck vase which stands 10 1/2 inches tall. The glaze is a dark blue with some lighter turquoise tones, with hues of green as well. Glazed with a white glaze on the inside. Excellent condition. It is marked simply with the words Royal Haeger in raised letters and USA and the numbers R1919. The Blue Crackle glaze is known to collectors as Etruscan which was to imitate the patina of unearthed Etruscan style pottery from Italy. The Etruscan glaze was from 1966-1967 and can be seen in the Ed Blas book called The Royal Haeger Glazes on pages 152-153.
