| Designed by Mid-Century designer Paul McCobb (1918-1969) and produced in 1962 by the Jackson China Company of Falls Creek, PA, this Frost pattern covered jar was part of a line of patterns from the Contempri line. The porcelain body was produced in Japan as part of the Jackson Internationale line. The decal a McCobb design which features stylized snowflakes outlined in two tones of gray over a white background. Someone tried to color in some of the snowflakes. I didn't want to use any cleaner to remove them. They even add a certain quirky charm! The jar is 8 inches tall to the top of the knob of the lid. The lid only carries the Frost design. Fully marked on the bottom and in excellent condition. Add it to your Mid-Century American dinnerware collection today. |
