This Pyrex 6 cup coffee carafe was standard issue in many a late 1950 and 1960s kitchen. This was the era when coffee was made in a perculator and then brought to the table in a warming vessel such as this very funky star-studded carafe. It stands 8 1/2 inches tall and features a black plastic handle and black plastic recessed lid. The collar band is brass and has a little wear on it but is still ready to go.
What is neat about this item is the General Foods kitchen warming stand with the original paperwork and candle. The warming stand is 3 1/2 inches tall. The coffee carafe rests down in it right over the candle to keep your java hot! The stand is vintage and in very good condition. What a neat pair of items. Grind up some beans and pull out the Eames era mugs and drink up! |
