This 11" round Toleware Tray is a nice Pa. Turnpike Collectible- it is sort of a kin to Route 66. Any Car or Automobile collector would love it. The Pa. Turnpike is the oldest in the US and it was opened in the 1940's. The Tray was decorated by Nashco- the label still attached to the back. I believe it dates to the 1950's. The condition is average- it shows wear- some scratches, surface rust and dullness in paint (it is black, not green as it looks in the photo). But in spite of it's imperfections- it really presents nicely! Fits well with any Toleware, Turnpike or Antique Auto collection. |
