Great Expectations Antiques

Circa: mid-1900's
Condition: Good+
Manufacturer: AMERICAN EMERY
This is a nice used 2 x 7 x .8" thick sharpening stone in a fitted original cardboard sleeve that is 7.0" long overall. The sleeve has a readable label on the top section that reads "AMERICAN EMERY OIL STONE FOR CARPENTERS AND GENERAL MACHANICS MADE IN AMERICA". As you can see it is faded, and worn at the ends particularly, and some of the oil from the stone had soaked into the sleeve, but it is fairly solid. There is a note to use thin oil each time it is used to prevent glazing. This stone is double sided, with one medium side and one fine side, both are flat and clean, there is a few noted small corner chips, but no cracks. This vintage stone is flat, well cared for, oiled, clean and ready to use!
