Manufacturer: American Encaustic Tiling Company
Nice pottery inkwell made by the American Encaustic Tiling Company, of Zanesville, Ohio, as an advertising piece, for their company. The inkwell has an area for two pens to rest (near the front), and two wells for ink - the lids are missing. The AETCO logo, within a circle, sits between the two wells. Super light blue high glaze. This measures just shy of 6" across, 5" from back to front, and sits about 1 1/2" high. My best guess is that this was made around 1930 - 1940. In excellent condition. This would be great for pens and paper clips on a desk. (#T-1877)
