Great Expectations Antiques

Circa: early to mid 1800's
Condition: good+
Manufacturer: unknown
This is a very nice, clean antique 5.3" wide blade hollow forming chamfer draw knife, that appears to be handmade and not marked by the maker. It is sharp, with plenty of stock left for future sharpening. There is some dings and scrapes noted on the wood handle, but it still looks good, and is solid and well attached using a thread nut on a central shaft in the center of the handle. This draw knife is part of a cooper's collection that I am selling. It was in one tool from two tool boxes of tools that were used in more recent years to demonstrate the cooper's manufacturing techniques. The blade has a hollow type arc noted (less than 1" measured from centerline to the ends from a straight edge). This tool is in good+ condition, with a good snug hardwood handle and good clean cutting edge surfaces. Measures 15" wide overall. Becoming very hard to find!
