This lovely cream colored pitcher has a swirling incised design of forget-me-nots with blue flowers and green leaves. It is trimmed in blue at the rim and on the spout and handle sides as well. The Maine Potter's Market in Portland Maine is a cooperative that was established in 1978. This large hand made pottery pitcher is 9.25 tall at the spout and 4.5 across the mouth. It is marked mPm in a circle, and also with the potters initials SLB and the number 1121. This pitcher is a beautiful piece of modern American craftsmanship and in excellent condition. Such an unusual jar, I had to put it on my site even though it is missing the lid. In the shape of a pipe and is 4 long. Has Meikemina, Japan on the bottom. In excellent condition.

This is a lovely antique hand painted porcelain vase signed by the artist Wilma. It stands 9.5 inches high and has skillfully executed geraniums or nasturtiums and leaves in lovely warm colors. It has gold painted ceramic chain links for handles and is in very good ++ condition with no chips and only one small, faint hairline crack under one of the handles. It dates from 1890-1930 during the Golden Age of china painting in the USA. A wonderful decorative piece.

This is a Margaret Furlong, USA signed shell shaped 3 inch high ceramic angel ornament in the Holly design made in 1983. The Christmas or holiday themed porcelain shell Christmas tree ornament angel was retired in 1998. The angel is in excellent condition but has lost the gold thread hanger that goes through the hole in the hat of the angel. The holly angel was actually designed to celebrate the beauty and abundance of holly in the Pacific Northwest . The 1998 season pamphlet is included, although the angel itself is from 1983, but I had an extra pamphlet that tells about the artist from 1 1998 angel that was packed with 2 pamphlets. A wonderful Oregon nature artist.

This is a mid century hand made, wheel thrown pottery vase with a sgraffito or carved panel with slip decorated roses and a butterfly signed by the artist. The vase measures 8.75 inches high and is 4.5 inches in diameter and is glazed a sort of greenish bluish grey. The carved floral decoration is done in a bluish and white slip, and the design is beautifully done. The vase is signed what looks like Cole or Col E and was made in the 1970-1980s in the USA. The vase is in excellent, mint condition. A lovely and decorative design focus.

Rice Bowl, Hand Crafted with Carved Leaf Design. Traditional rice bowl shape with hand-painted details and glaze effects make this piece highly unusual. The raised leaf design in black and brown complements the granite-look high gloss glaze. The details on the leaves an the dots let the textured charcoal color underglaze show through. This multi-step technique is called wax relief, where wax is applied to the base or underglaze and burned off to create the designs. This is a salt glazed stoneware pottery cup with an incised design of stylized flowers with a cobalt blue glaze that was made in America in the 1980s. The tan grey or taupe stoneware beaker or handless cup measures 3.25 inches high by 3 inches in diameter and is marked with the maker's name LEWA on the bottom. I have been unable to locate the pottery, but believe the cup to have been made in the USA. The cup or salt glazed stoneware glass is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks and is a charming piece of art pottery that is practical and useable.

This is a Margaret Furlong, USA signed shell angel Christmas ornament in the Celestial design made in 1993 with the angel holding a crescent moon and a star with a metallic gold hanging cord. The hand made shell shaped 2.5 inch high porcelain angel is mint in it's original box with pamphlet and is just beautiful. Great on the Christmas tree or to display on it's stand all year round. This is a beautiful 11.5 inch tall molded art porcelain vase in an urn shape with a beautiful decoration of flowers in soft colors I brought home from England. The top and base are a warm brown with gilt accents. Would look lovely on a table, mantle or sideboard--anywhere a focal point was needed. The pretty vase measures 11.5 inch tall, 6.5 inches across by 5 inches in diameter and was made in the late Victorian Era by Sanford Ware by Ford & Sons, England. The vase is in very good condition with the only flaw being a very tight glaze hairline on the side (see photo) about 3 inches long. This is truly an exceptionally decorative piece.

Floral Plates from Italy, Hand Painted Set of 5. This set of five handpainted plates with different floral designs is marked 140 ITALY. Each plate has four flowers in shades of blue, yellow and pink, with green stems and leaves. The designs are carved out and shown in low relief. From the color behind the glaze and the the color of the dry foot, these appear to be redware. Vintage is unknown but all of these 8 plates are in excellent condition with no flaws noted. Earthenware Ring Jug, Hand Painted, Hungary. This fabulous earthenware ring jug was hand made in Hungary. Incised and hand painted floral decorations are different front to back: one side has dark peach flowers and scrolls of green leaves, and the other side has a large green teardrop design that resembles peacock feathers. The stopper is attached to the jug with red yarn. There is one small chip on the rim of the jug, which is normally hidden by the stopper. There's a corresponding chip on the stopper, most of which is on the inside and not seen when the stopper's in place. There is no other damage noted. This ring jug stands about 11 high on four squared toes or feet, and it is 8 across and 2 deep. The foil label on the bottom reads ZSURITZE A NEPI IPARMUVESZETI TANACS and HAND MADE HUNGARY. This ring jug will make a great accent piece for your bar, and a wonderful addition to your European pottery collection.

Wonderful Victorian lady on a Canonsburg plate.Plate is 9 in diameter and has the Canonsburg mark on the back. In excellent condition.

This is a wonderful hand painted and artist signerd ceramic sugar shaker, muffineer or sugar caster made in the 1970s and signed D. Norman Staffs (Staffordshire) England with the pattern name Hilltop that certainly seems to have been influenced by Clarice Cliff. The shaker features a stylized house or cottage and tree in red, orange and yellow on white with black outlines. It has it's original stopper and is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or wear. A wonderful and collectible piece.

This character jug or toby jug by Burlington Ware of J. Shaw potteries, Staffordshire, England is 6 inches high and titled Old Lady with flashy earrings! She is hand painted and was made by . I saw her at an antiques market in Gloucester (in the snow!) and had to bring her home. She is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or restorations.

This great plate is a souvenir for the House of Seven Gables and it is made by Adams in their Adams Souvenir Series. It is a nice blue transferware pattern with a floral border and the House of Seven Gables depicted in the center. The detail is very good. This plate is 6 1/8 inches in diameter. It is free of any chips or cracks or other damage. The plate has fine crazing.

Really cute Art Deco style Salt and Pepper Shakers that are marked Little Brown Jug being pulled in a metal cart by a Donkey. The Donkey is adorable with a smile on his face, big eyes, and showing his teeth. Just the right amount of color for an accent. The stoppers are plastic and in perfect condition. No chips or cracks on the pieces. Unmarked. Probably manufactured in 1950 to 1960 era.

Beautiful Saxony fine china plate with flowers that look like Purple orchards. They are hand painted in colors of purple, with green leaves. This plate is made of very fine and delicate china. It is in great shape with no chips, cracks or other damage. The plate measures 8 1/2 inches across and has a gold rim. The Saxony mark is on the back of the plate in green.

Robert Burns Commemorative Plate measures 10 1/2 inches across. It is in great condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Blue transferware with the Royal Doulton mark on the back and in green a number which I believe to be 01392. Burns is featured in the center of the plate with his characters around the outer edge. Royal Doulton is the name used on Doulton and Company pottery made from 1902 to the present. Doulton and Company of England was founded in 1853. Pieces made before 1902 are listed in this book under Doulton. Royal Doulton collectors search for the out-of-production figurines, character jugs, vases, and series wares

YMCA flow blue plate with buildings - County Court House - City National Bank This beautiful 9 3/4 Flow Blue plate has an intricate pattern and elaborate border. The 2inch border has an embossed slightly raised design with floral shapes. The center depicts a buildings, YMCA?. The manufacturer's mark is Colonial Pottery made by F. Winkle and Co. Staffordshire 1890-1931. The piece is in excellent shape with no crazing or cracks.

This Baby plaque is 9 inches across and 1 inch thick. It is from ARDON plaque specialists Belleville, N. J. The initials K. S. L are etched into the babies shall. There are some minor chips and scratches on the edge

This porcelain plaque feature a baby at a woman's breast while a man eats a grape carrying a pole with a hair and fowl. The plaque measures 9 1/2 inches across including the frame which is of wood and brown velvet. On the back is a metallic sticker that reads 'The Kendrick Bellamy CO> Denver.

Antique Lebeau Porcelaine, french, charger measures 11 1/4 inches across. With Gold gilt decorations and scalloped edges. The back is marked in green 'Lebeau Porcelaine' and there is the number 23 in gold. The piece show dark crazing on the back and there is a hairline crack of about 1 1/2 inches on the back, this does not show on the front of the plate. the front shows some crazing and wear. Remarkable there are no chips, there is a firing mark on the bottom rim. Very nice colors

Bowl, Vee Jackson, Yellow Flowers. This pretty bowl is 4 1/2 high and 5 1/2 in diameter. It is white porcelain with yellow trim on the base and the rim, plus a lovely bouquet of yellow and tan flowers on one side. The bowl has some crazing and a 1 crack on one side. There are no chips or other damage. It is marked Vee Jackson Calif on the bottom.

It depicts a peasants in Medieval times in the field harvesting the crops, in the background is a castle. It is hand painted, colors convey a sunny, warm day as the peasants harvest the crops from the field. It is signed Paula Acommanni in the lower right corner, front has a glazed finish, back is unglazed, has holes along the top for a cord to be inserted so it can be hung. It is extremely heavy, about five pounds and is almost 12 inches by 12 inches, almost an inch thick at the thickest part. Wonderful plate with a little girl holding a bunny in a field. This 8 plate is signed Dino Massaroni and on the back it has Just You and Me, Designed for the United State Commemorative Fine Art Gallery by Dino Massaroni, 1 of an Edition of 21 firing days . In excellent condition.

This is an authentic handcrafted ceramic tile. The brilliant baked enamel tile measures 14 inches by 11 inches square. Raised edges outline the design. Specific enamel colors are applied to each section and then the tiles are put into a firing oven. The whole baking and cooling process takes about 24 hours. The tile has a fiberboard back attached with a wall hanger. There are no chips, however there is normal enamel crackling throughout the surface.

This is an antique art pottery vase in a round shape with handles made in Czechoslovakia in the 1920-1930s. The hand thrown vase measures 4.75 inches high by 6.5 inches in diameter without handles and has an art deco design and colors, with the orange band and drip predominating. There are 2 applied handles. The vase is in very good +++ condition, but one of the handles has been very skillfully repaired at some time. The vase is marked with the incised base ring stamp of Czechoslovakia and a scratched signature under glaze that I am unable to read. A wonderfully colorful piece.
