Ivory

Beautiful scrimshaw handles of genuine ivory on this cutlery set from Bernard of Sheffield England. The knife is a total of 14 inches long and the fork is 10 1/2 inches in length. The fork handle does have a tight hairline which shows in the picture. Both say genuine ivory on one side and the scrimshaw is signed on both pieces by Nunuk.

This item is a wonderful older Framed Miniature Portrait painited on Ivory. The Portrait is that of a lovel;y Elizabethan woman. It is signed by the Artist Bloch. The Portrait is inside an older metal frame which may or may not be original to the Portrait. The metal frame is backed by what appears to be leather which has the name Lady Marlborough and the date of 1775 inscribed in the leather. This Miniature is about 3 and 1/2 inches high and 2 and 3/8 inches across. This is a very well defined painting and the piece is in excellent condition.
