    Wildcat Den North America Art Watercolor Print Signed LJ Davis. Daybreak Studios,Van Buren County Iowa Artist, Larry Jon Davis. Beautiful Midwestern Images of old mill and river scene titled Wildcat Den. Print is signed and numbered 2/500, Dated and copyrighted 1981. Measures 16 inch X 21 3/4 inch, is nice and clean.It does have two 1/4 inch round spots, imbossed on the print, where something was setting on the envelope. One more pronounced than the other. These are both on building. One at the very bottom of the roof & the other at very bottom of the logs. Comes in original manila envelope labeled Dabreak Studios, with title, number and Artist name.     Vintage print. Not an antique print, but is not brand new either. It is signed on bottom left but is hard to make out; looks like Culyere? The picture features a little girl with doll like face looking at a birdcage with 4 colorful little birds in it, (finches and parakeets). Backside is marked: D124 (12 x 14), Radio Picture Frame Co., Inc. The picture itself is 12 x 14; the frame is 18 L x 14 W. A very charming picture that be especially nice in a girl's room. The face on the girl in the picture looks a lot like a Madame Alexander Doll.

Titled Goldfinch and Apple Blossom this matted print is signed Larolyn Shores Wright. the original price sticker on the back states $53.95 and the tag from a home decorating store. As you can see, my price is a bargain as this is still in like new condition.

    Currier + Ives, American Fruit Pieces
    A small Original Currier & Ives lithograph titled American Fruit Pieces. This is Conninghams #160. Still life of fruit including watermelon. The image is 12 7/16 x 8 1/2 inches. Nice wide margins with overall size of 14 x 10 3/8 inches. Very good condition with no tears and bright coloring. There is some discoloring due to the wood backing. There are pages of a 1939 issue of the New York Herald Tribune in the back. Nice walnut frame with gilt liner that measures 16 1/4 x 12 3/4 inches. Ca. 1872-1874.

    Antiquarian Safari Lithograph
    This is another lithograph in the antiquarian safari print series by J G Keulemans. It is titled Lepus Hainanus. John Gerrard Keulemans (1842-1912) learned lithography from Professor Hermann Schlegel while working in the Leyden Museum. Keulemans went on collecting expeditions in West Africa, where he bought a coffee plantation with the intention of settling. However, falling ill with fever, he migrated to London in 1869 and, sponsered by Richard Bowdler Sharpe, emerged as one of the finest and most prolific birds artists of all time, illustrating over 115 books while putting his distinctive stamp on every painting. The overall size of the mat and folder with a tissue overlay in between is 13 3/4 X 9 3/4. The print is 5 1/2 X 8 1/4. The plate number in the upper right corner is PZS 1872 PL XVIII and is signed. This work dates to approximately 1870. His work as well as the work of J. Smit have great detail.

There is great attention to detail. They make a wonderful grouping. There is a tissue overlay in the middle of the folder containing the print.

    I do not know very much about this, except to say I have owned it for a number of years, and I purchases it at an estate sale as 1 of 2 prints. It has an Oriental Man and Lady sitting in a garden. The back of the print is sealed, and there is nothing to place where it is from, nor is it signed. The frame is older, and is wood. It is one of 2 prints, and they are in identical frames. It is 9 inches wide and 11 3/4 inches long.

    This is a beautiful framed magazine print from the 1930's....1937 I think.. (I have another one also, and this is dated 1937) The frame is an antique wooden one, and the back has nails holdint the print in position. The print is and ad for Palmolive soap with all the girls in it, and a small endorsement by Dr Dafoe. The print is 10 1/2 inches wide, and 11 1/4 inches tall

    Beautifullu frames magazine Advertisement for the Dion Quins with Dr DaFoe. The Ad is for Palmolive soap, and this print is dated 1937. The frame is vintage wood with nails in the back holdint the ad, as they used to do with the old frames. The picture is 10 3/4 inches wide and 11 inches tall. There are no stains on the Magazine page, a couple of minor tears on the very bottom.

    Print Lady With Black Hat 1906 Gibson Girl Style
    Offering this exquisite 1906 lithograph print of a beautiful young lady all ready for the coming spring in her new hat! Peaches and cream complexion, coloring is wonderful. Her lovely dark brunette hair is in an upswept chignon with pretty waves. She is dressed in a delicate white high neck dress and her large black velvet hat is adorned with white spring flowers. In the foreground are three large white lillies. The print is set in a soft peach matting, protective glass covering, and frame is wood with a gold and silver mottled finish. Nice wire hanger on back. Including frame measures 19 1/4 inches x 16 inches; print as seen is 12 1/2 inches x 9 1/2 inches. This litho print was made by The Gray Litho Co, New York, dated in lower left corner, 1906. Excellent condition, no damage to print; matting, glass, and frame are new; framed by a professional art shop - the white line seen in the photos is just a glass reflection from the camera flash - not on the print.     Audubon Lithograph This bird lithograph is entitled, Turdus Nigriceps 3/4. This is by J. Smit and is signed. Joseph Smit (1836-1929) was born in the Netherlands. He was invited to Britain by Philip Sclater in 1866 and did the lithography for Sclater's Exotic Ornithology. He also did the lithography for Joseph Wolf's Zoological Sketches (second series), as well as Daniel Elliott's monographs on the Phasianeidae and Paradiseida. Smit contributed regularly to the Transactions and the Proceedings of the Zoological Society, Ibis, and The Field. Beginning in the 1870s, he worked on the massive Catalogue of Birds in the Museum, and later on the Lord Lilford's Coloured Figures of the Birds in the British Museum. Considered . . . the best animal painter in England after the death of J. Wolf -- S. Peter Dance The bottom will show M & N Hanbart Imp. on the right bottom with J.Smit.lith on the left bottom. At the top right, the plate is numbered, P.Z.S. 1874 PL LXIV. The print is in a matted folder with a tissue covering. The size with the mat is 13 3/4 X 9 3/4 in. and the size of the print is approximately 8 1/8 X 5 1/2 in. This is a historical print of birds and dates around 1900. There is some yellowing, but no spots are apparent on the front of the print. This is one of several prints listed by this artist.

    Offering this wonderful color print by artist Al Koenig who is well known for his paintings of the Amish. This print depicts a snowy evening in the country and warm glowing lights shine from the barn as a Amish buggy; a lady and little girl with their cat are taking a basket to visit. Colors and details are excellent. At bottom right corner is 1992 Al Koenig with the artist hand signature above it.     Offering this beautiful 1880's engraving print of a lovely young woman holding a bouquet of flowers. Details are exquisite from the tiny petals on the floral bouqet to the wispy curls of hair that frame her beautiful face. This is a German art print/wood engraving, dating from the 1880's, reverse side is blank. Special acid free professional matting in burgundy, edged in white, title signature is also framed with matting. Signed J. Ballavoine: Jugend. Protective glass covering, and hanger on back. Set in a vintage wood frame with ornate raised details, antique gold finish; inner edge has rich dark green velvet. Overall measures 25 inches tall x 21 inches wide - engraving as seen is 12 inches tall x 9 inches wide - not including title line. Very good condition, no damage to print - excellent condition; matting and glass are new; frame has no chips, light age toning which only adds to the charm of this art piece. At the end of the 19th century, photography was becoming the medium of choice for making prints of the original works of art. Until then, the engraving was the predominant medium used. Engravers, especially in Germany, were challenged by this new medium and perfected their skills to create engravings of unparalleled accuracy, quality and beauty.     Offering this exquisite 1840's steel engraving of Lady Jane, original artist - Drummond, engraver - Austin, published by Peter Jackson, London the title name is also matted.
