This is a light blue Wedgwood/Stratton compact with the Three Graces design in white relief on the cover. It measures approximately 3 1/2 round. It is marked Stratton on the back of the compact. On the inside mirror is a paper mark stating that the cameo is made by Josiah Wedgwood and Sons, Ltd. It has a scalloped design around the edges. It does not have a powder puff but does have a little powder left. It is in good condition. There is a little discoloration on the blue but hardly noticeable. There also is some wear on the inside mirror. None of this takes away from this great piece. A nice piece for any collector!

Figural novelty compact; shaped like a monkey it is jointed and covered with Mohair. The lipstick tube is hidden in its neck and the powder and the mirror are tucked inside its belly. To open the compact area, raise the head about 1/4 so the collar can swing open, and to close, slide the head down to lock the compact. The lipstick (missing) should be in the neck area. The arms and legs are mobile, the paws and ears are felt - the size 3-3/4 inches - Circa 1920's. Condition: felt replaced on feet, hands are original, mirror shows normal age - otherwise great, Mohair is very good and this is quite a rare, early piece. No puff, no lipstick remain with compact.

Gorgeous matching chain on this enameled compact with silver trim. No maker marks found. Size: 5-3/4 inches length with chain, compact is 2-inches by 2-inches. Condition: very nice for age, looks never used on the inside, the base has a few minor specks of enameling loss.
A pretty Art Deco design to this compact with a finger ring and chain, engine turned pattern on back. Front enameled with black and orange, some loss of enameling as shown in photos. Size: 5-3/8 inches length with chain and finger ring - compact is 1-3/4 inches by 1-7/8 inches. Has a metal mirror, inside has some corrosion, and has its two original puffs. Hinge and clasp work properly, finger ring is possibly beginning an age crack at weld area (hard to tell if it was made like that or if it is an age crack). Again this one has a few issues and I've tried to price it to reflect these defects - but still is a very nice memento of the Art Deco era. The chain has an area of black color that matches the black on the compact - lovely!

A round gold-toned, unmarked compact with a hand painted dancing lady on the lid. The materials used for the painting are layered to give this a dimensional look, which is rather unusual. Green is the base color and layered on top the colors white, red, yellow, black and blue. Size: 2-3/8 inches across. Condition: used, vintage, half moon shaped mirror is good, rouge nearly gone, with no godet or puffs, hinge works well and it just pushes to close, has no latch.

Size: 3-1/2 inches by 3-1/2 inches. The color is a soft pink with silver accents behind the mirror. Hinge works with care, but opens a bit stiff; no clasp really - just pushes down to close.

A Rex, Fifth Avenue compact, in original box with a matching comb in case, which has never been opened or used. The compact is 2-1/2 inches square and the lid is decorated in two shapes of greens with gold toned metal dividing the two colors, the sides and bottom are also gold toned metal. The inner green has an engraved design inside the color. The puff has Fifth - REX - Avenue written on its satin ribbon, there is a sifter screen, both show no use, the mirror is loose and you can tell where it was glued, as that has come thru the beveled mirror over time. Made In U.S.A. is stamped below the hinge, on the back.

This is an original lidded box with a white marbled faux mother of pearl lid with gold confetti strands. The unmarked box was either a compact, lipstick holder or other purse essential in the 1950s. The box has the original mirror inside but nothing else. The purse accessory box measures 2 inches high by 3 inches wide by .85 inch thick and has a brass plated body and tight hinge closure. A wonderful item of retro mid century vanity design for the purse...whatever it's use was.
This diamond shaped pill box is in excellent condition with a lovely inlaid top of black onyx, white mother of pearl and abalone shell. The metal is Alpaca metal an alloy of zinc, nickel, and iron. It has properties similar to stainless steel, in that is does not rust or tarnish. The box measures 1/2 inch tall and 1 15/16ths inches long. It has a locking hinged top and is marked, ALPACA, MEXICO.

Florentine Tooled Leather Compact Green Gold Italy
This is a gold tooled Florentine leather compact made in Florence, Italy in the 1960s. The compact is a forest green with yellow and gold tooling over the front with a plain green back. The compact measures .75 inch thick by 3 inches in diameter and has brass fittings. Inside is the original mirror, but the powder is gone. The compact is in excellent condition, is very well made and is a lovely example of Italian tooled leather work.
This is the prettiest compact that I have had in a long time. It is a vintage piece of chromed metal from Coty with a floral enamel insert on the top. There is a chain that could be used as a handle or bracelet. The compact is in excellent condition with one small rub on the front. The mirror is perfect and the powder tray very clean. There is no puff or powder screen. The compact measures 2 1/4 inches in diameter. The chain measures 4 inches long (when doubled). The paper labeling on the powder tray is in French and English.
