This is more than just a safety razor; it is also a very clever self-contained razor blade sharpening mechanism in a sturdy and attractive nickel plated container. The razor comes with two life-time blades and the container can be opened from both sides, top or bottom. One container cover contains a sharpening stone on the inside and the other cover contains a leather strap. When one side is opened and the blade sharpening mechanism is manually moved back and forth, the blade is pushed against the stone. When the direction of movement is changed, the blade flips over and is pushed against the stone in the opposite direction. Once the blade has been fully sharpened, the cover can be replaced and the opposite cover removed. Now when the blade sharpening mechanism is moved back and forth, the sharpened bladed is dragged against the leather strap to finish the sharpening process. After the blade has been fully sharpened, it can be carefully removed from the sharpening mechanism by carefully holding it between your thumb and forefinger and giving it a slight twist. It can then be inserted into the handle and you are ready to shave. The case and sharpening mechanism are in perfect operating condition. This is a rare find because it includes all the original paperwork, instructions, accessories, and its original box. It measures about 6.5 inches tall and about 3 inches wide. It would make a wonderful addition to any collection.

This bottle is as described. It is in good overall used condition. It does have a very tiny chip on the lip of the bottle, and it looks like the tip of the stopper was chipped and then smoothed down. It also looks like it had paint on it at one time. There are very tiny specks of paint on it. Even though it is not perfect, it is still a beautiful bottle, and well worth the investment. If you have additional questions, please e-mail. Thanks. Lurleen

This Mid Century brass pill box is decidedly unfeminine and seems especially suited for a man. The top is decorated with a metal spread-winged duck or goose charm against a textured brown faux alligator skin background. The alligator feels like leather or vinyl, I'm presuming it's not real but I'm not positive. The 1-1/2 square hinged box is solid brushed brass and lined on the inside. Excellent vintage condition.

I don't know enough about shaving mugs to be able to date it precisely, but this unmarked heavy milk glass mug is definitely old and not a modern remake. I'm pretty sure post-1920s men did not prefer to have their shaving gear decorated with flowers. In addition, the glass is a little swirly and mottled, and more of a pale beige color than pure white. The mug is 3-1/2 high by 3-3/4 diameter at the rim. The front has a hand painted decoration of orange or faded red daisy type flowers with green leaves. There's a little fading to the painted design, not bad. No chips, flakes, or damage.
Antique silverplate shaving beveled mirror on stand and mug. The shave stand has a hammered silverplate base with removeable bowl for the shaving soap, and holds a shaving brush. Bottom has incised mark that is partially obscured. What I can make out is '---berg Silverplate Co.' and a number. I assume this is a Van Berg silverplate item, N.Y. The silvered mirror is intact but showing its age; it does have some silver loss on it. The stand looks better than the photos show it, and it has not been polished, left as is. It is 12.25 tall. Included is the antique Wallace Bros. quadruple plate shaving mug w/removeable insert. It also has a slot to hold a brush. Engraved initials look like LAR on front. Also included is the vintage but unusued Robberset Made in USA shaving brush. Great items for your new, made to look vintage traditional or victorian themed powder room! 12/08troyant-MC&2/09esa-ck.
