Vintage vanity trays. Two vintage mirrored trays. The small one also has a lipstick holder on it that holds 4 tubes. The holder is marked: BK 352 and is 7.5 x 6.5 and nice condition. The large oval tray is 19.5 long x 10 wide. It has bows on each end; looks like an older Matson tray. Very minimal wear; purple velvet back. Nice items for your vanity table! 2/14vs
Vintage Glass Topped Vanity Tray With Swedish Prayer
This is a re-purposed vintage glass topped vanity or serving tray that was originally made during the Art Deco period or the 1920's. At some time something happened, maybe the tray was dropped and the glass broken or the owner just did not like the decoration or print that was underneath the tray. Sometimes there was a print, other times it was a delicate decoration of inlaid wood, or inlaid wood and mother of pearl. I have not looked underneath the Swedish Prayer. Anyway, it looks like the glass was replaced as the present glass does not fit perfectly and should maybe be glued in place so that it does not move around exposing the paper print...I think it originally was a place mat...to dis-coloration and stains. If you decide to do that, be sure and use a glue the dries crystal clear or at least, be very neat so that no glue gets onto the paper or the outside part of the frame. This tray measures 20 3/4 long, 11 wide and 1 deep. Be sure and check the photos as they will tell you more about the condition and quality of this piece. Happy Collecting !!!!
Vintage vanity tray and dresser box. The box has a 24 kt. Gold Plated non-tarnishable foil label on it. The tray also had that label on it but most of it was missing and the rest dissolved when I cleaned the surface of the mirror. The box has beveled glass and is footed. It is 3.25 tall x 4 wide x 4 deep. Minor age/wear. The mirrored tray is 17 long x 8 wide. The mirrored tray is a great size for inside a china cabinet to display other items on it, or on the vanity table. It is quite pretty but does have a little piece of the metal tip part that juts out into the mirror that is missing, see photos 7-8. Pic #7 shows one side that is fine and pic #8 shows the other side where the tiny piece of metal is broken off. The mirror also has gold freckles all over it which I think is by design. I have some other old mirrors that also have the gold freckles on them. And, the backside velvet has mostly flaked off. Once you set your perfume bottles, boxes on this tray you won't see the flaws anyway. I would guess this is a vintage Globe or Apollo tray but it is not marked other than having had the 24 K foil label which is now gone. Age estimate: 1930's-40's. 11/13
Vintage gold tone vanity accessories. First is the 24K gold Globe perfume bottle. It is 5.25 tall. The dauber is intact, (the slender piece of glass on the end of the stopper). The interior of the jar needs a good soaking as there is some leftover residue. Exterior can be cleaned with a q-tip and warm water. I did not clean it because of the foil label on the bottom which I did not want to fall off. You also get the kleenix box and the vanity tray. The tray looks like a Matson tray but is not marked. It is 17.5 long x 9.25 wide. It has some minor surface wear as expected; and there is a couple of tarnished areas on the edge of mirror, see pic #8. However, the mirror slides a bit either way so that can be hidden just by tilting the tray or pushing the mirror over to the other side with your finger. Nice items for a classic style powder room or vanity table. You can also use the vanity tray on a shelf in a curio cabinet to show off some of your finer things like crystal toothpick holders, paperweights, perfume bottles, etc. 11/13scsr
Vintage vanity grouping. First is the mirror which is faintly numbered: 1183; I believe this is a Matson tray. It has the daisy flowers on each end. It is 17.75 long x 9.25 wide. Velvet back with a clip to hang it if you want. It has some minor flecks, scratches, but nothing major and nothing you will see once you set your pretties on it. Next is a lovely jewelry/trinket box with a beveled glass lid. It is hefty and is 2.5 tall x 5 long. It has darkened somewhat with age. Next is a lovely lipstick holder numbered: K628G and has a daisy pattern. Last is a kleenix box with bird and flower motif. This is likely a Matson box because some of their trays have the same bird/flower motif on them. Pretty accessories for your Victorian or shabby chic powder room! You can also easily spray paint these pewter, silver, white, pink, etc. They will last a few lifetimes if taken care of. 10/13vs
Vintage vanity accessories. Gold tone finish; five items. First is the large oval tray with flower and tassle handles. It looks like something Stylebuilt would have made but is not marked. It is 18.5 long x 12 across. Has a few minor surface scratches, but once you place items on it you won't see a thing. Next is the footed waste can with plastic liner. The plastic liner has some hairline crackles in it, but is still usable. Those are common flaws on these liners. The waste can has a circular rose design. The blackish marks showing in the picture are just part of they way this can was designed and are not as prominent in reality. Next is the lipstick holder that fits 4 tubes. Next is the oval footed dresser box with beveled glass top. It is 3 tall x 6 long. Next is the square kleenix box with flower on it. You can leave them as is, or shappy chic them with a dry white paint brush; or I have even seen them painted with enamel pink paint for little girls rooms! Be creative! The boxes and waste can are likely Matson or Stylebuilt items but they are not marked. The mirror might have to be shipped separately. 8/13vs

Vintage, small glass vanity perfume tray. Round, crystal clear glass tray having a thick, shaped edge of alternating long and short glass shapes, which form a scalloped rim. Size: 7 1/2 inches diameter. Condition: Light scratches.
Large oval Matson vanity tray. Backside has the Matson mark and #150. It also has the paper label: Matson Mfg. Co., T 50, 10 x 19 Rose Gold. It is actually 18.5 x 10 and the gold is brighter than the photos are showing. Nice condition; just a couple of minor faint scratches. Nothing you will see once you display your perfume bottles and powder boxes on it. The design on the handles are a rose with petals design. Other items on the tray in the photos are sold separately. A very pretty for your vanity table! 6/13scs

Condition: used Size: 20 from end of handles by 12 1/2 inches Color: Very dark Blue, Gold, Multi Floral Type: Florentine Tray Country of Origin: Italy Manufacturer: Italy Artisan This VINTAGE tray shows VINTAGE wear, see ALL pictures. Still a lovely and very usable piece.
Vintage vanity mirrored tray and lipstick holder. The large tray is almost 21 inches long x 10.25 wide. It does have some faint surface scratches on it; nothing you'd see once you set your perfume bottles, powder jars, etc. on it. The lipstick holder has a cherub with blue glass, and holds 3 tubes of lipstick, (2 regular size and one fat size). The tubes are a lighter gold than rest of the metal. If you want it to be all the same gold, cover the glass and spray paint with metallic gold. It is a very attractive holder. Both items for one price! 3/13vs
Vintage vanity accessories. First the the oval tray which I am 99% sure is a Matson tray. It has the daisy flowers on ends, and where the mark should be on the underside of an end is a glob of gold; this is probably a factory flubber. This tray is 9.5 wide x 16.75 long. It has some minor tiny scratches; nothing visually impairing and you won't see them when your other items are atop it. Next is a gorgeous vintage hand mirror that looks like an Apollo item. Very intricate metalwork. One side of mirror is regular, other side enlarges the image. Next is a lovely vintage footed trinket box. And, last is a vintage lipstick holder. The lipstick holder is showing some wear, (the gold paint is starting to fade away a bit on this item; just re-spray it with antique gold paint). 3/13vs
Antique Victorian Apollo vanity tray. Intricate metal filligree. The silvered mirror has crazing and darkening, mainly on one side. Once you set your bottles and jars on it, it would not be that noticeable, see picture. This tray has 4 bun feet; not sure if you can replace the mirror or not, might be hard to do. It is marked: Apollo 3552 14 and is 15.5 long x 9.5 wide. The Apollo brass powder box has a carved flower on the celluloid top which is likely jade. Very pretty box, one small old tape residue mark on the lid. Price is reduced for the condition of the tray; but if you love Victorian style, this is still a great piece! 2/13#
Vintage oval vanity tray and trinket box. The tray looks like a vintage Stylebuilt tray but I cannot locate a name or number on it. It is narrow enough to fit in a china or display cabinet to display items like shakers, toothpicks, perfume bottles, etc. It is in good overall vintage condition; minor wear; velvet back. It is 18 long x 8 wide. The footed trinket box has beveled glass and is quite nice. Both items for one price! 2/13
Antique Apollo vanity tray with a hand mirror. The beveled hand mirror is not marked, but looks like an Apollo item, (very intricate metal work on it). The tray has heavy brass metal surround and has darkened with age. You can gold leaf it, shabby chic it, leave as is, or use antique gold paint to brighten it up. It is a lovely silvered mirrored tray with some some faint surface and age wear showing as expected. However, once you set your perfume bottles and jars on it, you won't notice any flaws. It is 17 long x 12.25 wide. The mirror is 9 long x 4.5 wide. You can also use these as table centerpieces with a large crystal bowl or vase displayed on it. 1/13
Vintage Matson vanity tray and matching trinket box. The tray is marked Matson; the box is numbered but not marked Matson but has the same design and pattern on it, (flower and leaves). The tray is 16.5 long x 9.5 wide and not as bright gold as the box. The box is 5.25 wide x 3 tall. You can spruce up the tray with gold paint, or just leave as is. The tray has some minor scratches as expected but once you set your vanity items on it, you won't notice a thing. 1/13
Vintage Matson vanity tray, jars and brush and mirror. This is a very large Matson tray with the bird motif. It is marked: Matson Made in USA and some numbers which I cannot make out. It is a bit darker than the photos show it, but not a lot. It is 20.5 long x 15 wide. It has a couple of minor scratches and one that is about 3 inches that can be seen but once you set your pretty perfume bottles, jars, boxes or other items, you won't see any flaws. You need a large dresser or table to set this on. You also get the large vintage brush and beveled hand mirror with old paper label: 25K gold plated. Good vintage condition on both. And, there are two lovely vintage glass vanity boxes with gold tone metal lids. also in good condition. The large vanity tray could also be used on a cocktail table or dining room table to display a large crystal bowl or vase. Beautiful additions to your vanity table! 1/13
Vintage Matson tray and accessories. Tray is marked: Matson USA. Large tray; gold is bright. It is 18.75 long x 10.25 wide. Some surface scratches, but nothing you will notice when other things are placed on it like perfume bottles, powder box, etc. You also get the awesome vintage lipstick holder that holds 4 tubes. Next are two antique orumulu? items: a brush and a beveled mirror. I believe they are ormulu and are quite beautiful. These look like Apollo items, (I base that on the very fine detailed metal work on them). Very nice items for your vanity table! 1/13+
This vanity mirror is solid, mirror condition quit good. The bottom has a velvet covering. The 8 sided edge's bars with balls are tight and also in good condition, some slight wear on gold gilding. Size: Width 9 inches X Length 13 inches.
Vintage vanity tray. Very fine detailed metal handles and black glass around the edges. This tray is quite pretty but it is showing age/wear on the surface of the mirrored glass, (spotting, flecks, and a couple of tiny scratches). However, once you set your perfume bottles and jars on it, you won't see the flaws. This tray is 16 inches long x 8.5 wide x 1 tall. It has a thick velvet bottom. I could not locate a maker's mark on it but it looks like an old Apollo tray and I say that due to the intricate metal filligree. 11/12utcs
Vintage Matson vanity tray. It has the Matson mark in an oval on the underside of handle end and a no. 425. Good overall vintage condition; no chips or cracks. Some tiny scratches which are not noticeable when you place your perfume bottles atop it. It is 16.5 long x 8 wide. Nice size for a curio cabinet shelf also; you can display crystal shakers on it, jam jars, teacups, etc. The handle design with bows is one I have not come across before in the Matson line. Biscuit jar sold separately. Very nice! 5/12utcs
Lovely old glass dresser tray with the stippled center and large edge. It stands on 3 tiny almost unseen feet, just little bubbles of glass really. It is 1 ¼ tall by 14 ¼ long and 8 ¼ wide. It is in excellent condition.
Lovely vintage vanity tray with lipstick holder. I am confident this is a Matson tray; either the mark just did not come out on the metal or I can't find it. It is faintly numbered the same as other Matson trays I have sold, #368 which you need a magnifier to see. This tray is in overall 'good vintage' condition; a few specks/scratches but once you put items on it, you won't see them. It is 15.5 long x 10.25 wide; mirror is 12 long x 8.5 wide. Felt back and has a ring for hanging. You also get the lovely lipstick holder with poodle dogs and 5 holders. If you need perfection however, don't buy vintage. 2/12labcsr+4/12
Handpainted Chubby Face Blue eye Boy on the front of this vanity vase tray. Perfect preserved condition looks great with no chips or cracks. Has two wells behind him that will hold your vanity items like lipstick, mascara, tweezer, ect. or anything you would like. Below his feet are two smaller wells that will hold trinkets, earrings or change. Marked on the bottom with the number 08 and the number 12 in gold. Handy and beautiful.
Nice vintage Matson mirrored vanity tray. It is 16.75 long x 9.25 wide. Very tiny Matson name and number on back end part. It is not as bright gold as the pic shows it; it is somewhat darkened with age but the camera seeks to illuminate metal objects. A couple of minor scratches, nothing you will see once you place your perfume bottles on it! You can brighten these up with some metallic gold paint or even shabby chic them with white paint and a dry brush. 10/11scsr
Fluted, fan-shaped ceramic dresser dish having a brown glaze background and pretty designs of various flowers and leaves. The handle displays a black border with gold-tone flowers. Fan dish has a scalloped rim and gold gilt trim. Made in Japan. Circa: 1960's-1980's. Size: 7 1/4 inches long by 4 5/8 inches wide. Condition: Excellent.
Antique mirrored plateau. Tin bottom. No maker's marks but dates to late 19th, early 20th C. It is 10 wide x 1 inch tall. It does have some scratching but once you set some perfume bottles or crystal vase on it, you won't notice the aging flaws. I like to use these in my curio cabinets to display crystal shakers, perfume bottles, toothpick holders. It really creates some sparkle; or you can use as a vanity tray also. 5/11smc
Antique vanity tray. Victorian era; hammered brass w/metal back. Faint green and red colors. It looks like an Apollo tray but I cannot find any markings on it. The mirror is in good condition. It has metal tabs on the back which can be adjusted. It also has a wire hanger; you can hang it or use as a vanity tray. It is a gorgeous antique tray. 19.75 inches long x 11.5 wide. 1/11ro#3197
Very attractive oval vanity mirror and enameled hand mirror. The tray is marked: Stylebuilt Made in USA; has angels and heart design on handles. It is 13 long x 7 wide. The mirror in the vanity tray is a wee bit loose, but when sitting on a table it is just fine. The hand mirror is very pretty; it has an enameled picture on one side with an onyx handle. 12/10s#
Huge antique mirrored plateau. Perfect for your favorite crystal bowl or vase, perfume bottles, boxes, etc. The mirror is 13 wide or 15.5 from metal end to other end, and it is 1.5 tall. Edges are beaded and there are some spots along edges that have silver loss under the surface and some minor scratches. This is common on antique silvered mirrors and not unexpected. Once you put your beauties on it, you won't see any flaws. Metal is an antique gold color; one spot is turning a bit green so the underlying metal might be brass. Tin bottom is intact. Pic #5 shows how much bigger it is than an average size plateau. 10/09estgs
Victorian mirrored plateau for sale. c:1800-1910. Lovely old tray with gold metal surround. Beaded style edge on the silvered mirror; original tin bottom. There is some wear; glass is somewhat cloudy; minor scratches as expected, but once you set your crystal items on it, you won't see the flaws. Most of these antique plateaus are in 'antique' condition; and these flaws are expected. This plateau is 10 wide x 1.75 tall. Great to display a cut crystal bowl or vase on, or perfume bottles, boxes, etc. esaMC9/09

Large antique painted wood tray. This tray is quite old, possibly Victorian era; has some age flaws, but displays quite nice. It has a glass insert with old wall paper on back cardboard. I cleaned the glass and put some vintage doilies in there to hide the wallpaper, and the doily colors resembles the painted handles and trim on the tray. You can put whatever you like in there, leave as is, or put a mirror. This tray is 22.5 long x 15 wide. The flaws on the wood are not really noticeable unless looking for them; you can see a couple of them in the magnified images. This tray is perfect for a shabby chic room or a powder room. 4/09actest-ck
Large antique beveled mirror vanity plateau. Original tin bottom. No maker's mark on it. Very pretty vanity tray. Looks like a Matson or Globe tray, but is not marked. No chips or cracks. There is some very fine gold mesh/freckles in the mirror, not sure if this is part of the design or to the aging process, but it really doesn't detract since is is very fine and all over so it just looks like part of the design. Once you set your perfume bottles, toothpicks, crystal shakers, etc. on it, it looks very elegant anyway. It will fit on a china cabinet shelf also. It is 15 long x 8 wide. 1/09labant-ck
