I am always at a loss for a new and different salad to make for the family or for a potluck. This book put out by Favorite Recipes Press contains 500 recipes for every type of salad imaginable. There are meat salads, frozen salads, vegetable salads and neat frozen salads. I tried a frozen fruit salad that was just out of this world. This book is clean and in perfect condition. It has 127 pages of recipes.
This is a terrific cookbook which starts out with celebrity recipes. Rosalind Carter has a recipe for Plains Cheese Ring (no peanuts) and there is a Beef Soup by Muriel Humphrey. The star of the cookbook is the $2000 Ohio State Fair Apple Pie Recipe... It is tops! The cookbook covers everything but the recipes aren't your run of the mill types for the most part. My favorite cook books are those put out by the various food companies using their products. This one is an incredible array of goodies from The Carnation Company. You would expect to see recipes for Vanilla Wafer Pudding and Nippy Mustard Sauce but some of the surprises include things like Stay - Up Cheese Souffle' and a Ham and Sweet Potato Bake that is out of this world. There are 21 pages of recipes, lots of good color pictures and lots of detailed instructions.
This fabulous cook book was one of a large series put out by Good Housekeeping in the late 1950's. I have the complete series myself and I love the recipes. This one features Time-saving dishes for today's busy woman. And that is as true today as it was then. The book has lots of pictures, easy but very tasty recipes that run the gamut from Peach Pan Pie to Barbequed Lamb Brochettes. There are 67 pages of recipes.

This cookbook was put out in 1964 by Hyman Goldberg who once was known as the cooking editor Prudence Penny. It is a wonderful collection of tasty dishes, some with ethnic overtones. It is a hardbound book with 390 pages.

It is richly illustrated with 95 pages of recipes of beautiful looking, nutritious and easy to make one dish meals. I tried the Sesame Pork with Brocolli and the Seafood Bisque and was very pleased with taste and ease of preparation.

This cookbooklet was put out by the National Live Stock And Meat Board in 1950. There are 75 recipes featuring beef, veal, pork, lamb, sausages and variety meats. I tried the Rump Roast with Potato Pancakes and really liked it. It is a good reference for cuts of meat as well.
This wonderful little cookbooklet is a get compendium of jams of all types. There are 30 pages of a wonderful variety such as Bubbly Champagne Jelly, Spiced Blueberry and Apple Butter and Precious Peach Jam.
Though you would think that this 1926 cookbooklet would contain only lamb recipes, it is a surprisingly general meat cookbook. The recipes include things like Roast Beef Tenderloin with String Beans in Potato Cases, Mexican Round Steak and exotics like Baked Beed with Pumpkin. There is a very good Meat Turnover recipe too. The book is clean and in great shape for its age.
I love the little cookbooklets put out by the wineries and breweries. They always come out with such unique uses of their products. This little booklet contains 88 recipes for appetizers thru punches and desserts. I like the sounds of all the recipes but the Sherried Cheese Drops were to die for. I tried the All-In-One Barbeque Casserole and found it very good but a tad too spicy for my kids. Most of the recipes are nourishing and appealing to most palates.
This cookbook is present in my own collection and I can't live without it. It is by Lucinda Hollace Berry and contains some of the absolutely best recipes I have ever had. I never cease to get raves on the mushroom and Spinach Caesar salad. The dressings are great and the recipes imaginative and perfect in execution. This is one great book.
This cookbooklet is a nice collection of great holiday and party foods using Kraft items. It is in average condition with a few loose pages and one picture cut out. There are some Killer recipes though. There is a chili cheese bread that is good for eating or gifting and some brownies to die for...The main courses are easy but festive, pretty and perfect for company. This book is in my own collection as well!

I love the old cookbooks. And not just for the history, I use the recipes! They are usually fairly easy with common ingredients and very tasty. This is an old boy. Dated 1925, it was put out by the Royal Baking Powder Co., of New York. There are some great old fashioned recipes within these 50 pages. The booklet has some tearing on the front cover but the inside is clean and in great shape.

This cookbooklet was put out by the Beef Industry Council in the 1960's. It has some wonderful different beef recipes that aren't so far out that your family wouldn't touch them... The pictures are full color, and all the instructions are readable and doable... There is a sensational Broiled Beef Strip Steaks recipe that has vegetables in foil packets. And the Sirloin Tip Roast recipe is a true delight.
