This circa 1958 cookie Cook book has some lovely recipes. There are all types cookies, bar, filled, baked, nonbaked... You name it it is there! There are lots of pictures, and a full 65 pages of recipes.
This wonderful cookbooklet dates back to 1959 but has some wonderful tasting, easy to make party recipes. This book is included in my own extensive collection. There are 26 pages of recipes, lots of tips and some color pictures. The neat thing about this book is that an entire menu is included. The Almond fried chicken is a hit at our house and I have never tasted a chiffon cake any better than the one in this book!

I am a dedicated collector of vintage cookbooks. Among my most favorites are those from the Culinary Institute. They are easy to follow, for the most part, the recipes are extremely good as well. This cookbook focuses on meat - all types and novel preparation ideas. If you are on the Adkins diet, this book will give you some new seasonings to make your meals different. There are black and white photos, and 48 pages of recipes.
This fun little cookbooklet was put out by Bisquick to provide some terrific recipes for the product. The Pecan Puff Pancakes and the Sour Cream Pancakes are out of this world! Some the quick bread recipes are very good as well. There are 16 pages of recipes in this book.
I laughed when I saw this title - I mean microwaving for today - what you would microwave for yesterday?? But I stopped laughing when I picked up all the good recipes included and many helpful hints as well. My most favorite was a French Onion Soup in the Microwave. Easy and incredibly good it was. There are full color pictures within the 90 pages.
This is a hefty little book chockful of unusual and not so unusual casserole recipes. Within the 160 pages are an incredible variety of recipes. My family went wild over the Sweet and sour Porkchop recipe and the Spaghetti Casserole was a nice take on an old favorite. No pictures within, but easy to follow recipes and easy to find ingredients.
I know all the jokes about Jell-o but it is still a favorite in my house. This 29 page book gives some new looks to an old favorite. There is a great jello parfait that looks and tastes delicious. The melon ball bubble salad is really cute. All the illustrations are full color.
If you are a lover of good soups, this cookbooklet will add to your life! There are 48 pages of wonderful, slightly unusual soups. My favorite was a tomato and onion soup from Madeira and a Lentil and Sausage Soup. But there are chilled soups and lighter soups as well. Directions are simple and easy to follow. Unfortunately, there are no pictures to drool over!
This is one great cookbook! It is complete with all courses and some wonderful general information of cooking with oil how-tos. There are 62 pages, full color illustrations and great easy to follow directions.
This wonderful Cake Cookbook was part of a series put out by Good Housekeeping. I have most of the set and really use and enjoy them. This book has 67 pages of recipes, hints and black and white photos of cakes and frostings. These are excellent cakes and many are fancy enough for formal dinner parties.
This is Pillsbury Classic cookbook #148. And it is just perfect for summertime cooking and eating. These classic cookbooks are colorful, easy to follow and genuinely full of great recipes. This one has 90 pages of recipes plus 4 summer party menus with themes and everything!
The full color pictures in this cookbook make these recipes jump off the page and onto your plate. Though Campbell's dry soup mixes may have disappeared, there are others out there to substitute. There are 90 pages of wonderful recipes - everything from soup to salads to main courses.
This is a great book for finding palatable recipes using yogurt. The sauces are excellent and very high in calcium and low in fat. There is a lean beef stroganoff that truly is as good as the calorie rich one. The full color cookbook contains 93 pages of recipes for all types of meals.
I love these old cookbooks put out by The Culinary Arts Institute of Chicago. There was a series of them and in my own collection, I have nearly 25 of them. This one is 250 fish and Seafood Recipes. There are so many helpful hints on choosing seafood and preparing it. There are hot and cold dishes in these 48 pages. It has lots of black and white photos as well.
Though Velveeta is the spam of the cheese world - it makes a mighty nice ingredient in recipes. This little book proves it! This is Volume II of the Velveeta series, so it must be good. Some of the enclosed recipes in this 15 page book include, Golden Rice Casserole, Creamy Zucchini Casserole, and Mexican Taco Salad. There are some color illustrations and very easy directions.
This great little cookbooklet was put out by Reiman Publications, the publisher of Country Woman and other great cooking and living magazines. Their recipes are sensational and these specialize in goodies for a picnic or outdoor eatery. There are incredible sandwiches, salads and grilled and baked meats perfect for summertime meals. There are 48 pages of super recipes (no pictures, though, darn it..)
I love these old cookbooks put out by The Culinary Arts Institute of Chicago. There was a series of them and in my own collection, I have nearly 25 of them. This one is 500 Tasty Sandwiches. But it doesn't stop there.. You get recipes for fillings and spreads, fancy breads, party sandwiches, closed sandwiches, hot sandwiches, double deckers and triple deckers. For hot weather eating or packable lunches - add to your choices with this 48 page book. It is soft cover with many black and white photos.
In the height of the Cold War, prepared meats were a staple of every pantry. This cookbook gives a great variety of meals to make with those meats. To the best of my knowledge, most of these are still available (Treet sound familiar?) and even if the exact one isn't available substitutes are. These would be great recipes for camping or even emergency eating. There are 168 recipes in this 103 page spiral bound book.
I am always one to find interesting and unusual cookbooks. This one dates to 1940 and was put out by the Culinary Institute of Chicago. There are all types of snacks in this book ranging from different types of flavored butters (chive, olive, pimiento,and ham) to the cutest little mosaic sandwhiches made with white and dark breads. My favorite section is the pastry and bread snacks - the spice sticks were a hit at my house with their cinnamon and sugar flavor. There are some fun jello type salads like the Rhubarb Salad Ring.

With the advent of warmer weather, I look forward to salad more often. This is a great book and one which I have in my own collection. Not only is it cute with its salad bowl shape but it has 31 pages of outstanding salad recipes. Put out in 1939, There are some awesome recipes such as, a Refrigerator French Dressing. One of the best things about this book is the presentation of the salads. It shows you in colored pictures how a salad should look. The fruit salads aren't exotic, just gorgeous!

This wonderful cookbooklet finds a decidedly different use for the soda - 7UP. There are 15 pages of recipes -not just drinks using 7UP. The most unusual might be the meat marinade - but it sounds really very good! The booklet was put out by The Seven-Up Company in 1965.
Of all the cookbooks I see, these Pillsbury ones from the Bake-offs are my favorites. This one is dated 1981 and has over 100 all new Bake-Off recipes from 29 years of competition. There are great colored pictures, full directions and incredible food. The cookbook has 100 pages of recipes among which are the easy Peach Strudel that is on the cover and breads like the Onion Oat Grain bun.. If you buy no other cookbook - pick this one.

There are lots of great salads and main courses - all fairly easy, many low fat and low calorie to spice up your summertime meals. There are 90 pages of recipes in this colorful book.
This 1996 cookbooklet was put out by Kraft Foods to showcase their foods in a great variety of Holiday specialites. There are lots of dips and fancy but easy appetizers - such as the Velveeta Salsa Dip that was a big hit at our house. All the recipes are very easy and have neat colored pictures to make it easier to make. There are desserts, main courses and salads as well as the appetizers. The two layer pumpkin pie is a really wonderful recipe!

I bought this cookbook on a lark because the title caught my eye. After reading and rereading it, I was hooked. These wonderful recipes are indeed off the wall and out of this world in taste. These are recipes for grilling for holidays, but they work anytime. One of my favorites was Annie Oakley's turkey or Oaked Smoked Turkey. I also liked Mainstream Trout and Fowl Stuffing... You will enjoy reading this book as much as cooking with it. It is even signed by the authors. There are 53 pages of recipes - all of which you will read, I promise!

This is a neat and very useful vintage cookbook. It outlines 300 mostly appetizing recipes for using milk, cheese, cream etc.. As a service to my customers, I have to try a few of the recipes. The cauliflower with the cheese sauce was an instant winner with the family. My husband and I liked the Farmer's Chop Suey. Great Women Chefs Cookbook. lst edition, published by Turner Publishing, copyright 1996, by Julie Stillman, and is according to one website, now out of print! A GORGEOUS hardcover book featuring the best of the best women chefs, thirty chefs in all. It has vivid color illustrations of fabulous looking meals. A great quality item even though it is not vintage yet, it is a lst Edition book and will likely increase in value through the years if taken care of. This would also make a great hostess gift. Or, just do like I do, display it in your kitchen, on your hutch or baker's rack, and when you feel the ache to bake take a look in one of your great cookbooks!

Dust jacket is intact; binding is tight, no torn pages; just has a few pages where the previous owner underlined some words in the recipes for emphasis, but very minor wear. Nice big book!

It is titled: Martha Stewart's Hors d'Oeuvres by Crown Publishers. Most of the pages are in color and feature full page displays of wonderful appetizers on vintage dishes and trays, including crystal, porcelain, and pottery. These cookbooks look great displayed in the hutch, the baker's rack, or on the counter in your kitchen. Don't pass this one up.

This is an entertaining cookbook titled ~ 1776 The Compleat American Housewife Cookbook ~Published in 1974, there are chapters on Housewifes duty,menus,medical cures, and of course recipes for the colonial housewife. It is in good condition but has a bend in the soft front cover.

This vegetable cookbook details a vast assortment of choices to liven up any meal. From artichokes to zucchini, you can find recipes. There are 90 pages, lots of full color pictures and a wealth of information.
You can't go wrong with a Campbell's Cookbook. For the money, this main dish book, is as easy and tasty as you can get. This is a spiral bound book with 130 pages of great recipes using Campbell Soups.

I am always at a loss for a new and different salad to make for the family or for a potluck. This book put out by Favorite Recipes Press contains 500 recipes for every type of salad imaginable. There are meat salads, frozen salads, vegetable salads and neat frozen salads. I tried a frozen fruit salad that was just out of this world. This book is clean and in perfect condition. It has 127 pages of recipes.
This is a terrific cookbook which starts out with celebrity recipes. Rosalind Carter has a recipe for Plains Cheese Ring (no peanuts) and there is a Beef Soup by Muriel Humphrey. The star of the cookbook is the $2000 Ohio State Fair Apple Pie Recipe... It is tops! The cookbook covers everything but the recipes aren't your run of the mill types for the most part. There are 112 pages of super recipes.

My favorite cook books are those put out by the various food companies using their products. This one is an incredible array of goodies from The Carnation Company. You would expect to see recipes for Vanilla Wafer Pudding and Nippy Mustard Sauce but some of the surprises include things like Stay - Up Cheese Souffle' and a Ham and Sweet Potato Bake that is out of this world. There are 21 pages of recipes, lots of good color pictures and lots of detailed instructions.
This fabulous cook book was one of a large series put out by Good Housekeeping in the late 1950's. I have the complete series myself and I love the recipes. This one features Time-saving dishes for today's busy woman. And that is as true today as it was then. The book has lots of pictures, easy but very tasty recipes that run the gamut from Peach Pan Pie to Barbequed Lamb Brochettes. There are 67 pages of recipes.
