Vintage ceramic rooster spice jar set. c: pre WW2. Very cute retro ceramic spice jar set featuring roosters and the jars have the cork stoppers. They read: Paprika, Salt, Pepper and Allspice. Each one is 3 tall x 2 wide. They fit into the original wood spice rack that is free standing or can be hung. The rack is 5.5 tall x 10 wide. The Japanese made quite a variety of these ceramic spice sets; some have flowers, turkeys, and other things on them. I doubt people actually used them much because they are fragile and more decorative than they are functional. 10/04esa#808
