As soon as you see Reyne Haines, you realize you already know her. As it should be, she's been a frequent guest in most of our living rooms for the last 11 years as one of the hosts of PBS' ubiquitous and highly popular,6-time Emmy nominated "Antiques Roadshow". The Public Television stalwart appeals to a broad demographic with a loyal and constantly growing audience ranging from those in their 20's and 30’s, baby boomers to retirees.
The one time fashionista has been a former model, announcer, journalist, author, gallery-owner, news contributor, and interview subject. She wears many hats, and wears them well.
While still in her 30's, Reyne is a multi-tasker -- with a daily schedule that involves her balance of home and professional life...a wife, a mother of two teens, an extensive business traveler, while constantly in demand by major high-end estates and significant charity auctions, while executive producing and hosting a tv show of her own, "Celebrity Collector", the first of several under her own production banner.
Simultaneous to appearing on television, Haines works as a professional journalist. She has written and been interviewed for top magazines such as Romantic Home, Inspire Magazine, the Chicago Tribune, The Washington Post, Hemisphere Magazine, Home & Garden, TV Guide, Traditional Home, The Wall Street Journal, and Family Circle Magazine, among others.
She has also contributed to numerous books, including "Antiques Roadshow Collectibles" by Carol Prisant, and "Adventures at the Auction" by Leslie Hindman. More recently, Haines penned the introduction to the new "Warman's Companion on Watches" and contributed a chapter on Collecting Tiffany for Investment for the "2009 Warman's Antiques & Collectibles". In 2003, she authored her first museum publication titled "The Art of Glass" for the Dayton Art Institute. Currently, she is working on several upcoming publications related to collecting, and has authored a mainstream novel co-written with her teenage daughter due next year.
