About Laszlo Kohanecz:
Internationally known listed Hungarian-American artist born in Temerin, Yugoslavia in 1935. Studied in France 1963 where he developed his own distinctive and exquisite style closely resembling Rembrandt and Michaelangelo with success until 1969~ Romantic and realistic. His invaluable paintings are in numerous private collections in Europe and later USA.
Laszlo emigrated 1970 to USA and was granted permanent residence status as an exceptionally talented artist upon the recommendation of the University of Miami and the Miami Museum of Art. His paintings have earned him a true master of his field and quality museum paintings. Works are in permanent display collection in LOWE ART MUSEUM. Also had been displayed in Washington D.C., Miami Museeum of Science to name a few.
He now resides in SW FLORIDA where he had started painting/sculpturing again in a modest tranquil home. His latest paintings are of Florida scenes which captures the great scenery.

SAIL SHIP IN STORM, LARGE OIL PAINTING FROM 90's Taking a modern approach to a traditional genre, the artist here has captured the essence of a raging sea storm. Combining hurried brush-strokes with a relatively dark blue,white and yellow palette, he creates a dynamic image of a tumultuous sea. Within the very throws of the storm is the only human element in the painting, a boat rattling around within the waves. This image acts as a reminder of mother natures furious hand and mankind's inability to control her.
This is a masterful oil painting on canvas signed lower right side by the artis Roland in ca. 1990, but unfortunately I have no further information. The picture measures 36 x 48 inches. (91 x 122cm) In a good original condition. Unframed.
