Purple Slag Bread Plate Historical Glass



This purple slag glass bread plate is embossed with a scene of two men, seated, holding tankards and is titled "Tam O'Shanter & Souter Johnny". The characters are from the work "Tam-O-Shanter" by Robert Burns.

The plate measures 11 1/2" x 8 3/4".

The color in this plate is beautiful and according to Lindsey's Historical Glass, it is rare.

CONDITION: Very good with no chips, cracks or scratches.

EAPG Celery Vase Ruby Flash

This EAPG celery vase has a beautiful clear bottom with a daisy, fan and bullseye pattern. The top is ruby flash with a scalloped rim. I have not been able to identify the pattern or maker.

It measures 5 3/4" tall with a 4" diameter rim.

It is a very pretty piece, much nicer than the photos show.

CONDITION: No chips or cracks. The ruby has a few very small scratches, hard to see when being displayed.

This is a set of 6 egg cups in Grape Bunch pattern, possibly made by Greentown ca.1900.

They measure 3 1/2" tall, with a 2" rim.

CONDITION: Three have a VERY small nick to the interior rim. Someone had a tendency to tap those eggs a little too hard! There are no other condition issues.
