FFEB05-23

Royal Copley Deer Head Planter Vase Royal Copley Deer Head Planter or Vase. Unmarked but pictured in the Royal Copley reference guide, has the typical Royal Copley narrow dry runners on the bottom and the gentle crackling to the glossy glaze noted in most of the Royal Copley pieces we've seen. Measures 7'' tall. There is a slightly darker craze line on the inside top with no separation in the glaze felt. No chips or cracks present. This Royal Copley Deer Planter or Vase would be a hit with the sportsman in the family.

T7JUN21-18

Antique Redware Dish Antique Redware Dish with Dark Brown Glaze. Unmarked as most primitive pottery was not marked. This dish is reminiscent of early Southern pottery (and most likely is), but redware was made in the North also by the early American settlers. Redware predates yellowware and stoneware. This dish or bowl is purely functional with it's flat base, straight exterior sides and rounded interior. Measures 3 3/4'' tall and 6 1/4'' in diameter. There are a couple of glaze flakes on the top rim and tiny flakes on the interior. There are also areas on the sides where the clay separated/puckered during the making, possibly due to impurities in the clay. This heavy, redware dish will make a nice, primitive pottery addition to your collection.

T8AUG01-4

Antique Handmade Southern Pottery Pitcher Antique Handmade Southern Pottery Pitcher, possibly made in South Carolina, North Carolina (Catawba) or Georgia. Structurally sound, the handle is missing and there is a small chip on the pinched spout. There is a hand incised mark on the bottom (hard to decipher all of it) but a clear R in the center and possibly N or M on the right side of the R. The left portion is filled in, and may/may not be a mark. Measures 7 3/4'' tall. Old Southern pottery is very hard to find--perfect or otherwise.

SC09FEB-01

Vintage Tiki Leilani Brown Pottery Tumbler Vintage Tiki Leilani Brown Pottery Tumbler. Unmarked except for the Tiki Leilani encircling the bottom. Some of these were made in Japan for Hawaiian restaurants. But McCoy Pottery also made these tiki tumblers. While not marked as such (they would not mark them McCoy as they were made specifically for a client--with the client's name) this tumbler is a much heavier pottery than typical Japan ceramics. Measures 5'' tall and has no chips, cracks or crazing. You can use it for tropical drinks if you wish, but they also make good pencil holders or vases.

SC09JAN-26

Rosemeade Pottery Pheasant Flower Frog Pick Holder Rosemeade Pottery Figural Pheasant Flower Frog, Hors d'oeurves or Pick Holder. Rosemeade was originally named Wahpeton Pottery Company when it was established in North Dakota in 1940. The name was changed to Rosemeade in 1953 and the company closed in 1961. This pick holder has the original foil Rosemeade No. Dak. sticker. He measures 4 5/8'' tall and 4 3/4'' wide, tail to beak. He has 5 holes on each side of the base. Close examination of his beak shows a possible old repair. There is a a small chip off the back tail and a faint line encircling the tip where it was likely re-glued. It appears to be stable but price is reduced. No other chips, cracks or crazing are noted. These Rosemeade figural pieces are hard to find and very collectible.
