8134

1923-4 Black Corona Four Portable Manual Typewriter This lovely old 1923 portable Corona Four typewriter has wonderful ambiance. It is said it was named FOUR as it was the first Corona model typewriter to have 4 rows of key-buttons rather than 3 rows. It is Serial #E503582 which some professionals say is a 1923 manufacturing date. However, some critics claim that the Corona Four was not made previous to 1924 and began with a serial #612000 vintage. This typewriter serial is earlier than that so a few test machines must have been made earlier than 1924. Either way, this machine is now 85 years old and most certainly a collectible antique.

This typewriter is working but not in excellent condition. However, it will type and the typing sample you see in the photos is indeed typed on this typewriter. This machine has had lots of use and I have discounted the price accordingly.

This particular typewriter comes complete with its original carrying case which is worn, but still carries the typewriter safely.

What a great yesteryear display this typewriter will make AND it is also functional. The design of this machine is call a platen-shift machine whereby the platen roller goes up and down to shift from lower case to upper case and visa-versa.

This typewriter has a new ribbon on it and ribbons for any of these old manual typewriters can be found in this store under the TYPEWRITER SUPPLIES category.

Vintage GAF Super 8 Autoload Movie Projector Model 800Z This is economy model movie projector from VICEROY that will run the Super 8 films of the 60's/70's.

Everything on the projector is in good running order. I have tried it with actual Super 8 film and all is operating as it should.

This is a good opportunity to get a nice projector that serves the intended purpose. There is nothing fancy about this basic projector, but it will get the job done. It does have a zoom lens.

7464

Bell & Howell Super 8mm Model 462A Movie Projector 7464 This more modern projector is for the newer SUPER 8mm film of the 1970's. This model projector was one of state-of-the-art and easy-to-use models of the Super 8 projectors in those days. It is quiet, easy to thread (self threading), good lens and bright light. It even has a take-up reel with hooks that grabs the film when it comes out of the self-threading mechanism. All of these features make for fast film changes.

This model is unique in that it has a SLOW MOTION lever so you can catch all the action.

It also has reverse direction and still mode to look at a certain film clip. You can see all the controls and plate information in the photos. If your family has reels of SUPER 8mm movie film, this is the projector you need.

This particular projector is in excellent condition and it is in great operating order. Everything is working as it should and it appears to have been used very little. A new bulb is available in my store should this bulb burn out under the category of Projector Bulbs

There is a crack in the outside lid on one corner as shown in the photos. The crack is solid and is not migrating. The lid closes just fine and stays as it should when latched so the only problem is the appearance of the crack. The outside case is also rather worn, but the projector has been serviced and is running wonderfully. I have discounted the price due to the case and lid condition.

7473

Vintage Sears Super Automatic 8mm Movie Projector 7473 This great machine is a classic to say the least. It is a very large projector and from an era when things were built like a brick. It is a 8mm film projector for the older Standard 8mm films. It will not fit the more modern Super 8mm films.

It is a variable speed projector which is great for transferring your movies to DVD. It has a forward, still and reverse selections. It has a special plug-in receptacle that you can plug a lamp into which will turn off when you turn on the projector and visa-versa. It also has a retractable cord.

There is also a quick film splicer mounted at the base of the projector in addition to a film trimmer that will tidy up the end of the film so it will thread properly through the projector. Nice machine!

Sears made some excellent photography equipment in the 1960's and suspect this was one of those quality items. This model is an auto-threading model. It is a very heavy machine supporting its quality construction premise. The unit has a metal cover with a push-button that opens the projector when depressed. The cord is in great shape.

This projector has been serviced and is ready for your enjoyment.

NOTE: These Sears projectors were made for Sears by Bell & Howell so you can be assured this is indeed a quality machine.

9560

Vintage Mod 4400 Kodak Carousel Slide Projector 9560 Here is a reliable projector that will show your Father's old 35mm slide photos in style. It is a high-quality vintage Kodak machine that is in great condition. It comes with its own 80 slide self feeding gravity drop circular slide tray shown in the photo.

This quality Kodak machine also comes with a cord plug-in remote control for moving the slide tray forward or back electrically from a considerable distance. The front center foot is adjustable to aim the photo light beam at the desired screen whether it be on a light wall or bed sheet hung on the wall.

The electrical plug-in cord stores neatly under the machine, and the light bulb is easily changed by opening its access door on the side of the machine. The bulb is still available in my store under the Projector Bulbs category.

There is also a SELECT button on the unit which will allow you to spin the tray around to a certain slide position if desired. The manual focus knob is also located on the main console which moves the Kodak Ektanar f:2.8 lens in and out for best focused picture.

There is also a reading light on the side of the projector that lights up when the main projector lamp is showing slides. This allows you to read from a script to your guests if that is helpful for you.

This machine is all you could ever want in a fine slide projector. You can also purchase extra slide trays separately in my store by looking under the Photo & Movie Equipment category.

This particular machine has some painted stenciling imprints on the top and rear of the case ('CSU A/V', etc) that are not shown in the photos and were done by the previous owner but it is not objectionable nor does it affect the great performance of this machine. I have reduced the price accordingly so this is your chance to get a good bargain for a popular machine.

The projector itself is approximately 4 inches tall and 13 inches square when in position (without the slide tray mounted).

2167

Vintage 1950's Haddon Special Vision Mystery Clock Here is a very popular clock from the 1950's. This clock has been beautifully reconditioned, serviced and is ready for your use and enjoyment.

This is rare clock made by the Haddon Clock Co. Its 7 3/4 inch dial has numerals that are etched into the dial and then gold filled from the back of the dial. This is one of those 1950 Mystery clocks with the hands that seemingly are floating in space. The glass is in great condition except for a small crack about 1 inch long near the center of the glass. This crack does not appear to be creeping at all and appears to have been there for a very long time. The motor is running quietly and keeping good time.

This clock is all original and it has a nightlight in the base of the clock that shines through a hole and up through the glass in the dark. The electrical cord in really great shape.

The gold plate is in great show-room condition just like it was in the jewelry shops 50 years ago when this clock sold for over $200 in today's money.

Here is a great opportunity to get a vintage 50-year old clock in nearly pristine condition. This is a collector clock as this particular unit is the first I have seen in person. The hands of the clock can only be moved forward (clockwise) and not backwards.

These mystery clocks are a great conversation piece and attractive at the same time. What is the mystery? The hands of the clock appear to be suspended in open space with no connections and in a sense they really are. They are mounted through a hole in the center of the clear glass. The entire glass rotates moving the minute hand with it and the hour hand is geared to proportionately do its thing without any connections to the base of the clock. This clock was well designed and has stood the test of time--both in popularity and service. Now you know the mystery. Here is your chance to baffle other visitors at your house.

3084

1955 Zenith Green Bakelite Clock Radio Model L520F What a great find this radio is. It has been serviced and is working wonderfully. It has a good clear sound and has the famous Telechron electric alarm clock that will wake you up to radio music every morning should you so desire.

The left knob is the volume control and the right knob is the AM station selector (there were no FM public stations in 1955).

On the back is a built-in antenna. It will bring in the distant stations much better.

What is unusual about this model radio is that the plastic lenses cover the clock and the dial are in perfect condition. Most times these are cloudy, cracked or distorted but they are beautiful on this radio so it must have not spent much time in the sunshine or by a window.

I have located the original electric diagram schematics and other information for this wonderful radio and they are including in the purchase with this clock radio. This will verify its age and date of mfr while at the same time provide a repair map for the electronics should you ever need a repair person to fix something.

Vintage Bell & Howell Headliner 35mm Slide Projector This machine will show the 35mm slides your Dad took years ago. It uses a slide tray (comes with the machine) that holds 30 slides and you can manually show them one slide at a time.

The light is bright and clear plus the slide tray is numbered which lets you know what number slide you are showing in the tray. All you do is rotate the knob to advance the tray to the next slide and then push in the slide handle to view the slide, then operate the slide handle again to move the slide to the tray again.

Simple machine, low cost, but it gets the job done! Everything is working on this machine as it should.

7459

Bell & Howell Filmo 151A Picture Master 8mm Projector This is a rare old 8mm movie projector that is in excellent condition. It is a 8mm film projector, Model 151A, for the older Standard 8mm films. It will not fit the more modern Super 8mm films. It is built like an Iron Horse and will probably last forever mechanically. It has every feature imaginable including:

Variable Speed Control
Forward/Reverse Switch
Reading Light and Switch
Fast Rewind
Removable Lens for Cleaning
Lens Focus Knob
Tracking Control Knob
Tilt Control
Clutch In/Out Lever
Separate Projector On/Off Switch
Separate Motor On/Off Switch
7 inch Take-up Reel (holds 400 feet of film) that stores in the case.

All this including the original wood carrying case with leather straps as shown in the photo. This is a large machine, and it will show home movies until you absolutely drop. It is made more like a commercial movie projector rather than a home movie projector. What a powerful machine this is. This machine requires some hands on while rewinding and changing directions as it is so fast that the reels can spin out of control if you don't pay attention to what it is doing. For the 8mm hobbyist, this projector is very special and has a wonderful feel when operating it.

This model 151A is coming to be very collectible as they are such well-made machines. It would make an excellent yesteryear display alongside the brochure/ad. It also comes with the original cord which is in great condition.

1960's Lane Cedar Jewelry Box - Indepence, Mo Some ladies will remember these Lane cedar Mini-chests which were given upon graduating from High School in the 1960's. They were given as complimentary gifts of the local furniture or dry goods store. Most are signed with the name and town of the store while some are not.

This particular Lane mini chest was given by TUCKER'S FURNITURE of INDEPENDENCE, MISSOURI. It is in good condition and still smells like the cedar wood it is made from. This chest has a few minor scratches here and there, but it is still a sound and attractive box.

Lane Cedar Chests were renowned for their quality of workmanship and this mini chest follows the same reputation. The locking key is not included with this item but it is a simple lock that will make it fairly easy to find a new key. The box presently is not locked and opens/closes just fine.

Click for more detail...
2233

1960 United Large Gold Pocket Watch Wall Clock This is indeed the original model of the famous pocket watch wall clock. There were lots of companies duplicating the effort with cheap and plastic substitutions, but this beautiful piece done by the United Clock Company of Brooklyn, New York is the original classic.

It is made of solid brass plated metal and the large front crystal is heavy GLASS. The roman numeral dial is painted metal, not a paper dial like the reproductions are. The back of this clock is brass. The chain is also brass plated. The watch crown where the chain comes out of is also metal, not plastic. This #40 model clock made by United is the only original all metal pocket watch wall clock model I have ever seen.

This clock has been converted to battery as the old electric motor gave up and it was also nice to get rid of the electrical cord running down the wall. The battery will operate the clock reliably without any intervention from you except to change the battery one per year. There is an opening in the back of the clock to accommodate battery replacement.

The surface condition is good with some wear spots and tarnish marks but still in exceptional condition for a clock over 49 years old. There is a date signature stamped in ink on the inside of the clock dating it to July, 1960.

Everything is working properly on this clock as described and it is keeping accurate time. It is quite impressive to hang on a rec room wall as you can read the time from a good distance away. It would also be good for a business store. A real piece of nostalgia for sure.

This clock measures about 17 inches tall by 13.5 inches wide (across) and 2 inches deep.

Vintage Bell & Howell Model 253 A 8mm Movie Projector This great machine has a metal plate that says: 115 V. AC 60 Cycle Only 500 W Max - Serial NO. P-70608, 5 amps, Chicago 45, ILL, U.S.A. Projector Model 253A Bell & Howell. It has the Framer lever and a switch that has Lamp, Motor and Off. It works great. A metal take up movie reel comes with the projector.

The unit is compact and has the metal lid with a push-button that opens the projector when depressed. The forward and rewind functions are very manual and accomplished by hooking up or unhooking the spring drive belts from the front or rear pulleys as shown in the photos. This reduces the number of moving parts inside the machine and lowered the cost. The cord is in good condition and the machine has the brown bake-lite handle.

It measures approximately 12 inches tall by 8.5 inches wide and 8.5 inches deep. It is a heavy, well built projector and is another of the Iron Horses of the 8mm movie projectors of the 1950's. This projector works great and it has been serviced and ready for you to watch your old home movies.

Take a close look at the photos and I think you will agree this is a clean unit for its age. The bulb is good and everything works as it should. Should you need a new bulb, contact me and I can find one for you if I don't already have the proper one listed in my store under the projector light bulb category.
