9394

Glass Red and Black Oriental Style Crane Scene Vase I have two of these vintage elegant glass vases. They're tall and slender ginger jar shape, 10 inches high by about 5 inches wide at the shoulders. Shiny lacquered-effect black bases and rims frame the silk screened red graphics of an Oriental style cranes in flight scene with swampy marsh grass, tall pine trees, and moon or sun. The scene is duplicated on both the front and back of each vase. They are in excellent condition with no damage or graphics wear. I'm 90% positive the vases were made by Bartlett Collins, possibly part of their Ming pattern line. Price is per vase.

Circa: 1940s

Click for more detail...

9706

Viking Amberina Yesteryear Large Compote This fine quality amberina glass compote or comport was made by Viking Glass Company as part of their Yesteryear line. The EAPG-like patterns in the line did not have specific names, the company just assigned stock numbers to each piece.

The compote measures 7-1/4 inches high by 8-3/8" diameter across the ruffled rim. The colors range from rich, deep ruby red at the top, gradually lightening to gold at the base with red highlights within the glass at the lower stem and around the edge of the base. It's in perfect condition without a hint of wear or damage.

Click for more detail...

10554

Amberina Hobstar Glass Fruit Bowl I don't know who made this gorgeous amberina glass bowl. It has an EAPG type hobstar or sunburst pattern, but I don't think it's from the Early American Pattern Glass era. On the other hand, it's not new either - my best guess is Mid Century, perhaps Imperial or maybe Viking.

The bowl is a little over 8 inches diameter by about 2-3/4" high. It has beautiful dark coloring with deep ruby red at the top shading to orange at the base with the typical amberina golden line at the rim edge. It's in excellent condition with no damage or wear.

Click for more detail...

12130

Neon Yellow Mid Century Square Crackle Glass Vase This dramatic Mid Century square cylinder crackle glass vase is a brilliant, almost neon yellow color. Some people might call it chartreuse but I personally think it would need a bit more green to qualify as chartreuse. It's tall and squared, 10 inches high by 2-1/2 inches diameter. The bottom is nicely finished, not rough like newer imports - it's definitely from the 1950s or 1960s. I'm not sure who made the vase, my educated guesses include Pilgrim and Rainbow glass based on the color and crackling style. Excellent condition with no damage.

Crystal Bubble or Thousand Eye 3 Part Glass Relish Dish I don't know who made this divided pressed glass relish dish, but it's no doubt American made from the 1930s or 1940s. It has a raised bubble, beaded, or thousand eye type pattern on the bottom and around the flat extended rim. About 11 inches diameter by 1-1/4 inches high. The center is divided into three sections. Click here to enlarge image and see more about item 10393: Morgantown Peacock Blue Art Glass Vase and 2 Flower Bowls

Click for more detail...

10393

Morgantown Peacock Blue Art Glass Vase and 2 Flower Bowls Two of these beautiful Mid Century colored glass pieces were made by Morgantown. I'm not sure who made the crimped rim ribbed optic flower bowl but it was found with the others and goes well with them.

The small hourglass shape vase can be found in an early 1960s Morgantown Glassware Guild catalog. The color is Peacock Blue, one of my books calls it the Elinor vase. It's 3-3/4" high by 2-3/4" diameter at the rim.

The straight neck flower bowl vase is also a Peacock Blue Morgantown piece, designed to be used with a glass flower frog. It was offered in the company's 1970 catalog. Measures 3-1/4" high by 4-7/8" diameter.

The ribbed optic flower bowl has a muted striped effect to the coloring and a slightly crimped rim. The color is a little darker than the other two pieces, more of a teal blue. It measures 5-3/4" diameter by 2-1/4" deep. There's a slightly protruding pontil mark on the bottom, so it does not sit perfectly flat. The very slight rock doesn't interfere with stability or display. All three pieces are in excellent condition with no damage, stains, or cloudiness.

Circa: 1960s

Manufacturer: Morgantown Glass Guild

12099

Napcoware Pink Controlled Bubble Bud Vase Made in Portugal Napco started out in the late 1930s as National Potteries Company in Cleveland Ohio. They were a distributor for the florist industry, later branching out into other types of glass and pottery items. Their glass products were usually made by American companies like Jeannette, Anchor Hocking, and Hazel Atlas. This pretty Napcoware bud vase however was made in Portugal, probably in the 1950s.

The vase has a ground and polished bulbous base, pink with controlled bubbles. The long and narrow tube neck is clear, flaring out very slightly toward the top. Just over 8 inches high, the vase is in excellent condition with no damage and still has the original foil label reading Napcoware Made in Portugal.
