Boxed WMF Modernist Silverplate Double Candlestick
This WMF Germany Modernist double candle holder is attributed to the Bauhaus industrial designer Wilhelm Wagenfeld. It comes in its original box with two unused, still wrapped ivory colored taper candles. The silverplated candlestick has a brushed and swirled pearlized finish with removable candle cups and is 12-5/8" long by 2-3/4" high.
The candle holder is marked "WMF E.P. Brass Germany". The box is marked only WMF-Leuchter 4889 and WMF Tafelgerat. I would assume from the design that it's from the 1950s but since there is no West or Western designation to the hallmark, it may have been produced before the post-war division of Germany. The candlestick is in excellent condition with no damage or wear, probably never used. The box condition is only fair, with a split lid corner, scuffs, a stain on one end, and tape across the center top and sides.
Circa: 1939 - 1950

A handsome vintage silverplate meat platter by Oneida Ltd. USA in an extra large size - 21-3/4 by 16 inches. A normal size coffee mug is in the first photo to show scale. The plain, undecorated rim will go with any silver or dinnerware service. The center has a well and tree design, to either side are open wells for holding the carved meat or vegetables. There are some minor, light surface scratches to the lower part of the tree area, nothing deep or serious. The platter has no dents or dings and no plate loss.

Sterling Silver and Abalone Inlay Cross Pendants With Mother of Pearl Heart
Rather than break these four items up, I thought it would be nice to sell them just as I found them, tucked inside an old black leatherette covered hinged metal jewelry gift box. There are two cross pendants, each 1-1/2 inches high. One has engraved lines with a sunburst circle at the center and is marked Sterling on the back. The other is inlaid with abalone shell and is marked Mexico on the back. I'm not sure if it's sterling or Alpaca but there is no tarnish.
There's a third pendant, a dainty Mother of Pearl heart, 5/8 inches diameter. The fourth item found in the box is a brass trolley transit token. One side says "Iowa-Illinois Gas and Electric Company Full Fare", the other reads "Tri-City Lines Full Fare".
Circa: 1950s - 1960s
