The entire set measures 4 by 3 inches. Ideal for scrapbooking, Christmas ornaments, crafting, decoupage.

Click for more detail...

11409

German Die Cut Pressed Paper New Year Good Luck Wall Pocket This beautiful heavy pressed paper maché wall pocket was made in Germany in the early 1900s. It was likely meant as a New Year's or Christmas item given the snowy winter village scene, Good Luck motto, and subtle holly leaves decoration. It measures 12-1/2 by 13 inches, the pocket is 3 inches high.

The pocket is ornately embossed with a horseshoe curved snow-covered tree branch arched over the cut-out mica glittered words Good Luck. Three large birds sit atop the arch. Below the motto is a lovely snowy winter village scene dusted with clear sugar frost glitter. The pocket is bordered by more snowy limbs and two birds. Germany is embossed at the bottom, hidden by the pocket. It's very old but still in remarkable condition for its composition and age with no tears. There's a light water stain around the lower left edge of the scene, shown in the last photo. It's mostly hidden by the pocket. There are a few tiny scuffs here and there and the back is age darkened. Instructions for putting the pocket together without damaging the delicate tabs and edges will be included with shipment.
