Zenith Model R82 Four Band Portable Radio This vintage Zenith model R82 AM-FM portable radio has two TV bands to receive television sound broadcasts, though I'm not sure if they are operable nowadays with the advent of digital TV. The radio has an included detachable AC cord, or it can operate on four size C batteries. It also has a lift-up handle and fold-down expandable antenna. It measures 9-1/2 by 7 inches by 2-3/4 inches deep. It's in good condition and plays well, though my rural location has lousy radio reception in general. I assume the radio dates to the late 1960s or 1970s based on the following printed on the back "Manufacture in Taiwan to the standards and specifications of Zenith Radio Corp., Chicago USA".
