Alligator Nutcracker by Headford Bros. & Hitchins
Cast aluminum with nickel finish Alligator Nutcracker by Headford Brothers & Hitchins Foundry of Waterloo, Iowa. Headford & Hitchins Foundry was located in Dubuque, Iowa from 1892 - 1903 and moved to Waterloo, Iowa in 1903. Edward Headford born in 1862 was the President with W.T. Headford born in 1867 as one Vice-president and F.O. Hitchins born in 1865 as another Vice-president. This magnificent alligator measures 13 1/2 " long and is about 3 1/2" at the widest part across the front feet. This is a wonderful advertising piece.

Covered Wagon and Oxen Doorstop by Headford Bros
Cast aluminum Covered Wagon & Oxen Doorstop. WOW! 16 1/2" long and 7" tall at the highest point. This was made by the Headford Bros & Hitchins Foundry of Waterloo, Iowa. Headford & Hitchins Foundry was located in Dubuque, Iowa from 1892 - 1903 and moved to Waterloo, Iowa in 1903. Edward Headford born in 1862 was the President with W.T. Headford born in 1867 as one Vice-president and F.O. Hitchins born in 1865 as another Vice-president. There is a name and number on the back side which I have not tried to remove.
