ts3769

Vintage Mostorod Egypt Yellow Floral Teapot Tea Pot Vintage Mostorod Egypt Yellow Floral Teapot. This is a rather unique piece, it comes from Mostorod Egypt. Mostorod is located 10 km from Cairo and is known as the place of miracles and as the bathing place. The holy family rested here on one of their journeys and Mary bathed the Christ Child here. The only other company associated with this area is an oil/chemical company. Apparently this piece is either some sort of a souvenir or was used to serve workers for the oil company. It has a yellow floral pattern on the front and the leaves continue around the back of the teapot. It is very heavy like restaurant ware china, is 4 inches tall and holds about 1 1/3 cups, in excellent condition, a very nice piece.
