T9693

Ontario Knife Co. Knife Hickory Handle This is a nice clean old Hickory handled butcher knife with a 6" long blade, 10.5" long overall. It is marked "TRU-EDGE ONTARIO KNIFE CO. MADE IN U.S.A." on the blade, and "OLD R HICKORY" on the wood handle. The rivots are brass and the handle is in very good condition overall. The knife has a nice feel and balance to it, and appears to be of an early vintage with press line running the full length of the blade from the forging process. The edge has not been sharpened for many years, and the blade has a darkened patina on it everywhere. It will need to be sharpened if put back into service. The is a minor knot in the hickory at the end of the handle that shows a minor void in the wood there, otherwise a very nice collectible knife. Ontario Knife Co. was in business for 1889 to 1986 in Franklinville NY. U.S.A.. A nice old kitchen style knife overall!

Click for more detail...

T19738

Sun Challenge Antique Box Coffee Mill Grinder Large This is a very nice, clean larger one pound style box coffee mill or grinder. It features wooden constructed box, nice cast iron handles, and wooden crank knob. It was made by Sun Mfg. Co. in Greenfield or Columbus Ohio in the early 1900's. This one doesn't have the original black paper label, but it does have the screw cap, and drawer at the bottom in good shape. The drawer wood face is very thin wood, and it has one small chip off one corner, and one hairline crack near the bottom of the drawer, otherwise this coffee mill is in great shape, with a nice ornate cast iron handle, and mounting. The box of this mill is 7.5" tall, and is 6.5" square on the top and bottom boards. Very solid, with nice lap joint corners, and a nice old finish! Works good too!
Circa: early 1900's
Condition: Good++

Click for more detail...

T20361

Forester & Sons 4 in 1 Jar opener Combination Tool Pat. This is a nice, clean, all metal combination canned jar (like jelly, or mustard)top opener, designed to give plenty of extra leverage when opening those difficult to open sealed jars. This one was patented in 1910, and is marked J.C. FORESTER & SONS PITTSBURGH PA. 4 IN 1 PATENTED SEPT. 13, 1910". Since some jar top sizes had already been standardized in that era, this tool will still work on some jars made today. It was designed for 2.62" diameter size. I believe the other tools on this tool are a can opener, but not sure about any of the others, as this is a 4 in 1 tool. The jar top remover works great, and the tool is clean, and in good working condition. A nice old kitchen collectible!
Circa: 1910

Antique Sieve Strainer Kitchen Canning w/ Holder Stand This a good clean, used, all metal kitchen canning strainer, designed to fit (clip on) to your 5.5" diameter mouth jar or stainless steel bowl with the lip at the top rim of the bowl or jar. The holder / stand is a separate unit, from the strainer, and the strained is 7" diameter at the top and also with clip in place just like the lower part of the stand, as mentioned. The clips on the stand work quite well in holding the strainer in place on the stand. The stand has one side handle for extra control. The stand and strainer is 9" tall, and is clean tin or sheet metal, with no rust, some very minor pitting noted, very clean. All the holes in the strainer are the same size about 1/16" diameter, no damage. This one is suitable for cloth or paper type strainers to fit in it, or use it by itself. A very nicely made kitchen collectible from the 1920's era!

Click for more detail...

T25956

Antique Nut Cracker Ornate Handles This is a very nice, clean antique all metal nut cracker with fancy, ornate turned design on the handles. The only mark on the center plate is "PATENTED" but no number or date given. This design allow for the handles that each have a pivot point to swing into two different positions, one for larger nuts, and the other for smaller. The pivot pins and handles are in great shape, so this feature works great. The handles are 4.8" long from the pivot to the end. There is a zig-zag design on the section of the handles that cracks the nut, most likely to give better grip on the nut shell being cracked. The nickel plating is about 50% intact, evenly worn off for the most part. No rust, no damage, works good! A unique design, we have only seen a few of these over the past several years!
Circa: 1930's-50's
Condition: Good++

T28980

Rogers Salt Pepper Shaker Sets 2 + Box Blue This is a nice, like new 2 pair or sets of salt & Pepper shakers in the original gift box! The inside of the fitted gift box is marked "F.R. ROGERS SILVER COMPANY" in gold script lettering. The bottom of each of the shakers is marked "MADE IN JAPAN". The shakers are made of a deep blue glass, with an exterior metal frame, and metal cap. We believe these are chrome plated, since there is no silverplated, or silver marks on any of them. It is possible that they are silverplated. They appear to have been used, but there is no wear or damage on them at all, very good condition. The salt shakers have smaller holes, and more holes than the pepper shakers. Each shaker is 2.5" tall. The box is black heavy paper covered, heavy cardboard, with nice felt and silk lining inside, also in very nice condition. Very attractive vintage salt and pepper sets in a gift box!

Click for more detail...

T29981

Antique Thermos Bottle Insert Early Box label Offering this early THERMOS brand bottle glass filer or insert, in the original antique box with a very rare THERMOS label on it. The box bottom is intact, however the top of the box has 3 ripped corners, the back of the box is off, but included, could be repaired. The label has a picture of two figures, both have bottles in hand, one is red devilish character to the left, it is a copyright date with a date mark on the label in very small letter under the picture "COPYRIGHT 1905 BY AMERICAN THERMOS COMPANY N.Y." and the label is also marked "THERMOS NO.11 PINT BOTTLE BROWN ENAMEL" and reads in smaller print, "IT'S NEVER TOO HOT OR NEVER TOO COLD FOR THE MAN WITH A THERMOS BOTTLE 212 deg. ABOVE 0 10 deg. BELOW 0". We have not seen one like it before. The label is about 95% intact, some light smudges and staining noted. The bottle insert inside is also marked with a "THERMOS MADE IN U.S.A." and a patent number also. The insert filler is about 2.75" diameter x 7.75" long, and has a 1.38" diameter outside measure mouth. The insert is most likely new never used, no sight of use or damage. Also include is a aluminum screw cap for a Thermos bottle, appears to be used with a slight dent on the top of it, otherwise in good+ condition, useable if you have the correct bottle. The inside opening is 2.28" inside diameter, at the very edge, not over the threads, and is 2.25" long. The early label is unique, we can't say for sure if the bottle insert is as old as the box, nor the cap. There is an original corrigated cardboard wrapper inside the box in round form as well. A unique collectible household item!
