Reel123

Eureka Portage Level Wind Fishing Reel This is a nice clean used, simple but very shiney, 3.0" diameter reel marked "EUREKA PORTAGE TRADE MARK MADE IN U.S.A." on the reel side face. I believe this to be made by 4 Brothers, some the guys that eventually founded Pflueger in Akron Ohio. It's a nice looking, early reel in about 95% like new condtion, with every metal surface nickel plated and shiney. There a few minor edge rubs, and distortions in the plated finish, but very bright looking, good solid wood handle, and very smooth ball bearing drive, the clicker give kind of a drag feel along with a good strong clicker sound. A very nice looking reel, oil it a bit and go fishin! Measures 3.0" diameter x 3.9" wide across, including the handle. A very clean reel, in good+ working condition!

T27708

Pflueger Interocean No. 1888 Level Wind Reel This is a very nice, clean level wind reel, casting type reel, marked "PFLUEGER 1888 MADE IN U.S.A. INTEROCEAN". This one also has several patent numbers, the lastest of the list reflects a 1936 patent number. It has a good strong clicker, and features a good working side lever line drag adjuster. The reel has a very attractive polished diamolite (chrome) finish that is about 95% intact or better on the hardware, and the old 1950's hard plastic covers, all in very good condition. Some light scratches noted, the line through the patent dates may be a scratch or a very tight crack, but the plastic is not loose at all, minimal wear, one small edge chip on the plastic near the drag lever. Features the adjustable line drag system, and a good strong clicker switch control, and free wheeling spool feature for casting along with the leather flap stop or brake to keep the spool from over spinning. The spool is brass and the sides are nickel plated brass, and is in good working condition. The spool spins very freely, and would make a nice surf casting reel too! There is also a mechanical thumber on off control on the side opposite the handle. A very attractive fishing reel for your collection!

REEL198

Pflueger Summit Level Wind Fishing Reel No. 1993 This is one of the most decorated production made reels that I've seen over the years. This is a very nice clean used level wind reel marked "PFLUEGER SUMMIT TRADE MARK NO. 1993 MADE IN U.S.A." on the polished diamolite reel with a beautifully engraved design patern on both end plates. It's a nice looking reel with over 95% of it's diamolite finish intact. It has light wear, some brass showing through on the line guide, and the screw head on that same shaft. We also note that one of the beige color marbled plastic handles is sightly melted on one side, still turns, but has some black tiny spots on one side of it. Good strong clicker, jeweled oil cups. The end plate diameter is 2.1" and the overall width is 4" across including the handles. A very nice looking reel, oil it a bit and go fishin!
This one also comes with the original box top, and reel storage bag, both have wear but are for this same Summit reel, and believed to be original to the reel. Also include is the "PFLUEGER LITTLE GIANT" combination screwdriver wrench in nice shape with a few specks of pitting here and there. A nice quality reel overall!

Click for more detail...

REEL164

Shakespeare Level Wind Reel No. 1944 + Box This is a very nice looking reel with a combination of stainless steel end plates and nickel plated fittings! It is much like the Pflueger Rocket Reel in style include the star wheel type drag control. The included pamphlet states "SERVICE REEL FOR LIGHT SALT WATER AND HEAVY DUTY FRESH WATER FISHING", and the line size and capacity chart show sizes of nylon line from 15-40 pound test, and metal line sizes also. This reel has stainless steel end plates, with a machined finish rather than a plated finish like on the Rocket. This is a very nice clean level wind reel that most likely was never used. We do note that there is some minor finish wear in the area around the side lever with the knurled round knob, as the knob touch the finish, and also a light scratched area abut 1/2 inch away from that same area, appears to be storage wear. In perfect working order! It is marked "SHAKESPEARE SERVICE 1944 MODEL GE" on the end plate. The spool is nickel plated and looks good. It's a nice looking reel with over 99% of it's original finish intact. The end plate diameter is 2.7" and the overall width is 4" across including the handles. Has a good strong clicker and the drag works great! A very nice looking reel, oil it a bit and go fishin! The reel comes with a Shakespeare box, that is marked 1945, where the reel is 1944, but the No. 1942-1945 are basically all the same style reel, it most likely was the original box for this reel. There is also a care for your reel booklet, with illustrations, and a combination wrench screwdriver in the box. A nice reel overall!

T29095

Pflueger Rocket Level Wind Reel No. 1375 w/Box This is a very nice, clean level wind reel, marked "Pflueger Rocket No. 1375 Made in U.S.A. Patented". It has a good strong clicker, and features a good working star line drag adjuster. The reel has a very attractive polished diamolite (chrome) finish that is about 98% intact or better, very minor wear, and very light scratches, in very good working condition. Features the Star type adjustable line drag system, and a good strong clicker switch control. The spool is aluminum and is in very good working condition. A very atractive fishing reel for your collection! It appears to have been mounted to a rod at one time, but I doubt it ever had line on it. Better than most! It also comes with the original box is very solid condition with some edge and corner wear, and one small area where a price tag was torn off the label, otherwise very clean and nice. The bottom of the box has a date 1957 stamp. There is also a owner's guide included in very good shape with a parts diagram and list, was printed in U.S.A.. This level wind reel is my favorite in the Pflueger line, the finish work is bright and shiney, everything is polished and smooth, plus it can be used in either salt of fresh water fishing, and is bigger in diameter than the Pflueger Supreme, which was the most expensive model. This is one of the nicest we have seen of the Rocket model! A very nice gift for the fisherman!
