GIANT 1970's Tribal Chic 4-Tier Hinged Panels Pendant Necklace Fiercely fashionable, this circa 1970 gold-plated, four-tier pendant is made of hinged plates with the texture of tree bark or crinkled foil in vertical bands. The pendant alone is 4 ½" high and 2 7/8" wide. Each layer is connected by ring to the layer above so no matter where you set the length, the plates will conform to your décolletage.
The two chains use squared, bark-like links alternating with rings to create a necklace with a maximum inner length of 21 ½". The fold-over clasp can actually be secured in any ring should you wish to wear this powerful amulet high. The condition is very fine. The look is certainly head-turning!

Fancy Gathered MESHBracelet with Guilloche ENAMEL Butterfly & Daisies This dainty-looking yet durable golden mesh bracelet is gathered like a fine ribbon in the front and ornamented with a lovely guilloche enamel aqua butterfly and enamel flowers. The bracelet is 1" high in the center and tapers to a little less than ½" at the back; it is 7 ¼" long on the inside.

White and yellow daisies have very glossy, opaque champleve style enamel. Mademoiselle Butterfly has an engraved pattern on her wings which is filled with translucent, heavenly aqua enamel; her body is opaque black. Four small ribbed scrolls hold the "gathers" of the mesh.

The bracelet has a box clasp with two scrolls. Condition is wonderful and the mesh conforms to your wrist shape to fit very comfortably.

Superb Pre-Ban CARVED IVORY BANGLE with Large Flowers This deeply carved ivory bangle has a band of five-petal flowers so lush they bloom beyond the edges of the bangle. The width is just over ½", thickness is 5/32" and the inner diameter is 2 3/8".

The central petals of the flowers actually rise above the domed bangle; the flower centers have cross-hatched centers. The natural graining can be seen on the inside prominently as well as on the smooth outer edges. The bracelet has no cracks or stains and is in superb condition.

Outstanding Antique Dieppe European Carved IVORY Stemmed ROSE Necklace This exquisite hand-carved antique ivory rose pendant has the most intricate detail I have encountered in a carved flower! Not only is the full-bloom rose deeply cut with layers of petals, but they furl back upon themselves and the leaves have serrated edges and multiple veins in their centers. The chubby buds reveal the layers of their young petals in the curled, frisee’ edges, and the stems even have thorns!

The deeply dimensional and large pendant measures 2" high by 1 1/4". The large bail is itself 5/8" high with a generous inner opening of 1/8".

The natural graining can be easily viewed on the bail. The back of the pendant is polished and has some original jeweler's information in pencil. The condition is as excellent as the master carving. The quality suggests the piece may have originated in Dieppe, France, which for centuries was home to artists who possessed legendary ivory-carving skills.

I have included an old-stock, never used, 24 ¼" long 12K gold-filled fancy-link chain with a spring-ring clasp. The ivory pendant looks stunning on a simple black ribbon as it may have originally been worn if you should choose to try that too.

Elaborate W. Germany GLASS FLOWER Bouquet Earrings Always fresh and perky, these vintage West Germany hand-wired flower bouquet earrings have a creative blend of glass, plastic, and wire that lends the little flowers both vitality and realism.

Each bouquet is 2" high and 1 ¼" wide. The large transparent light blue and foil-speckled flowers at the base are plastic as are the wavy green leaves. Molded glass flowers in opaque sky blue and transparent light blue are set on wire stems with dark green plastic tube coverings—I have never seen such attention to detail in this type of jewelry! The littlest wildflowers are made of seed beads with blue rhinestone centers and also have covered stems.

The lightweight earrings have silver metal bases and clip findings stamped "W. Germany." These circa 1955 posies are in superb condition. They brighten your mood with their whimsy, and the vertical design draws attention upward to flatter the face.

Vintage Japan SHAKUDO Damascene Gold & Silver Ocean Scene Necklace This intricate and superbly hand-crafted vintage Japan damascene or "Shakudo" pendant contains a tiny scene executed entirely in the technique of precious metal inlay. Traditional Japanese buildings, full waves, the brilliant silver moon or sun, and seagulls are rendered on a matte black background with polished inlays of silver and gold.

The square pendant is 1 ½" wide and has an ornate frame of ribbed wire scrolls. The bail can accommodate thicker or slim chains; the back has a polished concave plate as reflective as a mirror. The 19" long curb-link necklace appears to be gold-filled and has a spring-ring clasp. The condition is wonderful and the detail invites closer inspection to appreciate this elegant miniature work of metal inlay art.

Dramatic MODERNIST English 9CT Gold & Rose Quartz Long Drop Earrings This unusually forward-looking pair of Modernist 9K gold and pink quartz drop earrings is right in tune with the warm colors seen today in fine gold jewelry—though the earrings were likely made 35-50 years ago. Each earring is 1 7/8" high; the rose quartz pendants are 1 1/8" long.

Each quartz teardrop has a flat front and back and is held securely with a wide band of gold. There are natural light wisps of crystals in this translucent pink pastel stone which give the drops a cloudlike appearance. The settings are stamped on the bottom with "9CT" a gold purity used more often in England in the 19th century than the 20th. Make no mistake--the earring tops are quite mid-century modernist: long triangles with no fussy ornament. Condition is super and the look is certainly distinctive.

Brilliant Blue DANECRAFT Sterling & Sapphire Cut-Crystal Link Bracelet This vintage Danecraft sterling silver bracelet is set with six brilliant sapphire blue cut-crystal ovals in fancy pronged settings. The total length is 7 3/8" and the width is 7/16".

Each link is open-backed so the pure saturated blue stones can gather light and reflect it from all sides. The bracelet has a fold-over clasp stamped "Sterling" and comes with an attached safety chain The bracelet is not signed but I have had this exact style in Danecraft’s amethyst color; when sets are found, only the earrings are signed. The condition is great and the color is definitely an attention–getter!

Perfectly Pretty Vintage PETIT POINT PARASOL & PURSE PIN The needlework in this vintage petit point figural pin is absolutely astounding: both the tiny purse and its matching parasol are covered with vibrant red roses and colorful wildflowers perfectly executed on a black background.

The heavily gilt pin is 2 3/4" tall and about 1" wide. The parasol’s handle is wrapped in twisted wire and has a loop from which dangles the folded-crescent pocket book with bead-chain handle. The extremely fine needlepoint canvas covers the entire diameter of the parasol and the front and back of the purse.

Though not signed, I believe many of these pieces were made in Europe, often Austria or Switzerland. This beguiling lovely has a safety clasp in and is in pristine condition. You’ll be the envy of the Smart Set when you sport this fabulous miniature of needlepoint art.

1950's RENOIR Copper Stacked Triangles Grill Earrings These mid-century Modernist copper earrings by Renoir stack triangles to create tall wedges of geometric drama for your lobes. Each earring is 7/8" high and 5/8" wide. The flat surfaces of the triangles are patinated so they almost seem to disappear into the distance leaving nothing but the leading edges visible—like very cool Deco automobile grills!

The earrings have comfy silver metal clip backs signed "Renoir" on the uprights. The original clear vinyl cushions are attached for added comfort. These sleek and strong earrings are in super condition.

PAIR of Modernist Satin Silver Tone Leaf & Tendril DRESS / Pin CLIPS This pair of mid-century silver-tone pin clips (or dress clips) takes leaf and tendril forms and abstracts them slightly for a bolder take on nature. Each clip is 1 7/8" high and 1 1/2" wide. The satin-finish leaves have open centers around which curl polished stem tips. At the tops are hand-coiled tendrils and smaller satin leaves with the same open centers.

The clip backs have small teeth for a sure grip. The style and finish of Renoir come to mind but the clips are not marked. The pair is in wonderful condition and looks timelessly tony on either side of an open color, or clipped to lapels or even shirt cuffs.

Vintage Wide Marbled Paprika ORANGE BAKELITE Bangle This deep spice orange or russet red domed Bakelite bangle is swirled with clouds of lighter and darker tones. The bangle is 7/8" wide and has an inner opening of 2 1/2:".

The condition is very fine with no damage and just very fine surface wear from careful use. The material tests most positively as Bakelite. Chunky enough to wear alone, this paprika pretty has good heft and rich color.

1940's STERLING BANGLE with Plump Dogwood Flowers Simple and cheery dogwood style flowers with plump leaves are stamped all around this 1940’s sterling silver bangle. It is 3/16" wide and has an inner opening of 2 1/2".

Dark patination behind the flowers makes their polished surfaces glow all the more. The inside is stamped with "Sterling" on the soldered seam reinforcement. Condition is very fine with no damage. If you like to wear silver bangles in multiples, please see the other ones in my shop.

Sparkling UNCAS White Gold/Sterling ROSE Ring with Marcasites A brilliant rose is set with faceted marcasites in this vintage Uncas white gold-plated ring. The full bloom rose with stem is 1 1/8" and 5/8" wide; the ring is a very wearable size 9.

This style of ring was typically done in sterling silver and I must say the white gold-plated version with applied patination is more reflective and lustrous. Sterling is likely the metal beneath as this was the Uncas specialty. The inside of the ring is stamped "14KT. G. E." with the Uncas arrow hallmark. The condition is wonderful; all stones are in place and the finish shows no wear except right around the hallmark. This vintage beauty will sparkle and enchant even more in subdued lighting.

Gorgeous IVAR HOLTH Sterling Guilloche' Enamel NORWAY Scenes Bracelet Superbly executed scenes of memorable Norway vistas are enameled in guilloche’ style in this vintage Ivar Holth sterling bracelet. The eight panels total 6 ¾" on the inside in length and are ½" wide.

Translucent enamel colors are layered by hand over the oblong panels which are embossed with sunburst on the silver. Moose or caribou, a Viking ship, sunsets, ocean views, and a sled with deer are all set against the pink and blue glow of the Northern Lights or aurora borealis. The sunburst pattern under the enamel suggest the horizon most effectively on each scene. The back of each panel has a light gold vermeil finish.

The clasp has two different marks; the more push-in tab is stamped "830 S" with an "H" hallmark of Ivar Holth. The box soldered to the enamel link is stamped "925S Sterling Norway" with a mark of four dots in a circle. I have seen this bracelet attributed to Holth and this type of high-contrast scenic enameling of Norwegian scenes is a trademark of the studio.

The bracelet is in wonderful condition with no loss of enamel or tarnish. A gilt safety chain keeps it on while you fasten the clasp. The careful detail in the hand-enameling and the romantic scenes encourage one to travel or at least learn a little Norwegian lore!
