Vintage 1940s Red Gingham Plastic Food Covers In the 1930s,40s,and 50s,these plastic elasticized covers were used to cover Leftover foods in the Icebox or early Refrigerators. This was long before Plastic Wrap! They had Wax Paper but it didn't stay in place like an elasticized cover.Set of 4:
7 1/2 inches,5 inches, 3 1/2 inches and 3 inches wide. I just saw the new 21st Century Version of these in a Dollar Store!!I guess some people just don't like putting Plastic Wrap over their foods.At any rate these that I have are genuine 30s,40s & 50s. Shipping is $1.50 Domestic USA

Vintage Lustro Ware Red Plastic Salt & Pepper Set This set is a rigid plastic.There are large Monogram Scripted Letters S and P on one side only of each respective Shaker. The Caps measure 1 3/4 inches across. On the bottom there is a Sitting Rim about 1/8 inch high which is 1/4 inch in from the side so the shakers don't sit flat on the table. There are 2 unobtrusive nicks on the Pepper Cap as pictured.On the bottom are the following molded words: Lustro Ware, Made in USA, Pat. Pend. Cols. Plastic Prod. Inc.
