Vintage Four String Mandolin Metal Music Box

Size: 11¼ H x 4½ W (at the base) X 1½ D (which includes the easel on back to make it free standing)

Condition: very good - One can see the interior of the music box from the front and also watch the music being
played. The music is - My Old Kentucky Home - The music box is turned on by a key in the back.

Markings: None

I have left the colored string on the mandolin which was there when I found this at an Estate Sale. I believe someone had used the string to hang this on the wall.

Brass Vintage Chinese Dragon Bowl


Size: 12 in diameter - the rim is approx. 2 H a fairly shallow bowl

Condition: very good -bowl is cast and hand beaten, as well as hand engraved in the Interior. the outside bottom of the bowl is not smooth. The creation of the Chinese characters on the inside bottom was very deep and left its mark. See photo. The bowl is in
very stable condition. The exterior is plain.

Markings: Inside bottom of the bowl has Chinese characters. I can not translate this.

Weight: 3 lbs. 4 Oz's.

Please note that the bowl has been polished. The inside of the bowl has incised designs. These include two dragons, fire, and what could be waves? The bottom of the inside has large
Chinese Characters.

There are areas in the incised character which have remnants of black and in others some white.

Manganese Dendrites From Bavaria


The images of manganese flowers (clusters) on the surface of natural magnesium can create beautiful flowering images. A crystal dendrite develops with a typical multi-branching tree-like form. This particular example could be an abstract flowering bush or even a male peacock..
