1951 Samuel D. Riddle Collection Auction Catalog
Auction catalog for the May 1st to May 10, 1951 public auction of the Samuel D. Riddle Collection. This historic auction was conducted by Samuel T. Freeman & Co., Philadelphia, PA.
The auction catalog has writing on the front cover and there's discoloration to the pages due to age. The auction results were recorded in the catalog through lot 547 in pencil. Periodic black and white photographs are dispersed throughout the catalog. The binding is good and there are no missing pages.
Samuel D. Riddle was a breeder of Thoroughbred race horses. His two most famous horse were Man o' War and Triple Crown winner, War Admiral.

Hardback book with dust cover plus 10 page insert. Color photos throughout the book and insert. I assume the insert was done to include the dealers who didn't meet the deadline to get in the main book. Very nice copy.
