Dutch Faience Framed Tile-Elijah with Ravens 1780 Antique 1780 Dutch Faience magenta/purple handpainted glazed wall tile. Design is of Elijah being fed by 2 ravens and a castle or manor house in the background. Frame is original, has normal wear and some nicks, has 4 feet so it could've been used as a tea tile. The tile itself is 5 1/4 in. square, no maker's marks. Back has remnants of original wall mounting. Condition-no crazing, has 2 corner holes from it original manufacture. There are 2 cracks, 1 with a corresponding old chip, some residue in the corners but I didn't want to risk damage by cleaning too hard. Could be restored. Priced according to condition. A lovely addition to any tile collection!

A Chinese lady of wealth who became a Christian missionary in China until she moved to the US after WWII due to ill health. She lived in Paradise, PA until her death in 1984.
