Antique Lewis Strauss & Sons Limoges Charger Outstanding antique Lewis Straus & Sons limoges charger. c:1890's-mid 1920's. Stunning fine, delicate hand painted charger with green underglaze mark: Limoges France, and grey overglaze mark: L S & S Limoges France, (see pg. 278 M. Gaston's book). This charger is 11 inches x 10.25. No chips or cracks; there is one dot of the gold missing on one of the long stems in center which is only discernible if under your nose, and one stray pindot of gold near an edge. This is a beautiful work of art for your limoges collection!

Italian Painted Glass Jar For sale is a gorgeous green Italian painted glass jar. Stunning covered dresser, powder, or pin jar featuring painted flowers, gold, and enameling. There is a red and gold foil label on bottom: Made in Italy, (forgot to photograph it but it looks like an older label). This gorgeous jar is fairly heavy, and is almost 5 inches tall. A very beautiful item for your vanity tray! Sorry, but I do not know the age of it. Probably Murano Glass. Final markdown!

Large Antique Saltglaze Crock For sale is a very large antique saltglazed crock. This large crock has tobacco spits, (the large brown glaze drops on exterior). It has an incised band on upper portion, and dark brown, (albany slip), on interior. It stands 9.5 tall x 9.25 wide. It has two old chips on top rim; some areas where glaze missed along bottom portion of rim; but no cracks or hairlines. Overall, it displays great; is sturdy and solid, and will hold your rolling pins, long handled utensils, or just to display with other antique stoneware items! (According the experts on antique stoneware: nicks, gouges, small chips, and hairlines do not affect price unless they are very significant). Vintage English Dog Toffee Tins For sale are two vintage English Dog Toffee Tins. = only $25/each! Very old TIN toffee tins made in England by Edward Sharp & Sons LTD of Maidstone, Kent, (marked on bottom). They both feature dogs; one has a dog with a towel over its head next to a nightstnad with pills, tonic, and a glass with spoon with original paper label attached. Good overall vintage condition; it is 5.5 x 4 inches. The other one has a dog sitting in a wooden barrel; this one is same size; has one scratch across dog's face. Very cool old tins to display!

I believe this was an advertising item from Gale Electric Co. An identical dog, albeit, in a larger size in cast iron and painted, is shown in the book on vintage doorstops by J. Bertoia, pg. 73. Vintage Eva Wojnar Oil Painting For sale is a signed vintage oil painting. c:1979. Signed 'E W'. The back has 'Fredrix Canvas Panel', 'Painted by Eva Wojnar, 3-3-79, kids never dispose of this painting' on separate paper it reads: Painting, 'Dr. Ziwago', put away, wrapped 9-7-2000, painted by Eva Wojnar'. Apparently the kids decided to forego the painting. An Eva Wojnar was located on the net as a well-known art director, but she looks a bit young to have painted this in 1979; so she might be the granddaughter of this Eva. It is a really lovely painting; winter scene, horses in motion. Frame is 30 wide x 23 tall; painting is 25.5 wide x 17 tall. It might look even nicer in a large, ornate antique frame. Great oil on board for the winter/holiday season! Check out Doumouchelles auction catalog this month; a very similar Polish painting by Wladyslaw T. Large Vintage Needlepoint Sampler For sale is a large vintage needlepoint sampler on linen. Age est: 1950's. Nice older sampler. Purchased unframed; but I put it in a temporarary frame just to protect it for now. Side of linen reads: The American Home of Paragon Needle Craft. It is very nicely done; good details and colors. It not signed or dated, but looks like it was once in a frame because it has old tape marks on all the overlap edges, see pic #8. The old tape marks do not show when framed except for one mark near bottom left, see pic #7. You'd want to have this professionally framed but you can have this frame if you want it. The frame size is 19.75 x 25.5 tall; interior opening is 22.5 x 17; but the linen is larger because it has the overlap edge. Great for a country estate! 11/08brcs

Wallace Nutting Water Witching Print For sale is a Wallace Nutting Water Witching print. Signed in pencil: Water Witching, Wallace Nutting. It is in the original frame w/matte. The print itself is in good condition; the matte is somewhat dirty. Has a paper label on back: Shells Bookstore, Stat'y, Pictures & Frames, Lima, Ohio. The frame is 14.75 tall x 17 wide; the print is 7.5 tall x almost 9.5 wide. It is hard to get a really good picture of it because of the glass which is not non-glare. Wallace Nutting was born in Rockingham, Mass. in 1861 and died in 1941.

Both feature flowers and moths. They are somewhat dirty, and need to be cleaned and re-framed as these frames are not attractive. They are 9.75 wide x 11.75 tall; frame is 10.25 x 12.25 tall. Both prints have initials BW on stems. One has numbers/letters I. I. ch.I right corner; then Cl t. s. B. 2 in left corner. Picture with darker colors has: I. I. ch. 2 and Cl, upper right corner, and 2. s. a. 1 in upper left corner.

Henry Hooper Antique Candle Shield For sale is a gorgeous antique signed oil painted candle shield. Bottom of metal base has incised mark that reads 'OOPER'; lst letter is worn off, but in the photo you can make out an 'H'. (Attributed to Henry N. Hooper, a well-known Boston Mfg. of brass, bronze and metalworks). Painting is signed 'Peterboro'. Stunning fine art, oil painting on board attached to an ormulu base. The painting features a church; windmill, cottage; women and children, etc. Painting has all over striations/crazing. One tiny area appears to be just about ready to flake off, (a professional can correct that very easily). The painting is attached to an ormulu base which has a lever to adjust the shield up or down. In down position this item stands 15.75 tall x 9 wide, (small painting, but truly beautiful!). Candle shields were used to deflect heat away from a person seated near a candle. It is a wonderful, unique item; a work of art for the discriminating consumer! An item you may never come across again in your lifetime. If you need a fabulous furniture accessory, this is it!
