Bernard 40s Framed Picture Art Print Vintage Home Decor
Bernard 40s Framed Picture Art Print Vintage Home Decor.
Stylized Decorative Picture of Lovely Lady and Handsome Gentleman, the typical Courting Scene used as Decor in the Modern 1940s room.
The wooden frame is blue, with background of aqua leaning towards Robin Egg Blue. Dress is Pink. Other colors are keyed to the colors of rugs & fabrics of that era. Soft grays, browns, peachy pink, and cream.
Looks like a watercolor, although it is a print. I can not see a signature. On paper attached to back it says: Bernard - N. Y. C. I am not certain if that is the Artist, a Art Company, or Store.
Measures 16 3/4 inches X 19 3/4 inches (includes the frame).
Condition is pretty nice for 60+ years. Print is clean, may be a tiny bit of mold specks, although I believe they are mostly on underside of glass. You may wish to re-frame it, just to remove foggy soil on backside of glass.
Frame has a small amount of wear, tiny chips mostly near the corners. Glass is nice.
Back brown paper is torn a little a in few places around edges. Sticker tag is excellent. Has nice wire & loops without rust.
A lovely example of Colonial Romance - very pretty decorative wall decor for a bedroom. Great addition to an American Art Collection.

Turner Tropical Flowers Framed Art Print Eames Era 50s
Turner Tropical Flowers Framed Art Print Eames Era 50s.
Beautifully framed White Floral picture of (I believe) Lilies or Orchids.
This is a Mid 20th Century Modern Artwork by Turner. It looks similar to a water color, is done on a textured paper, hot chocolate brown background with gorgeous big white flowers, accented with green and brown leaves.
Measures 12 inches X 14 inches to outer edges of the frame.
The back of the picture shows water stains from a damp wall. There is some super light shadowing of dampness on the lower part of the print, but it is not noticeable from a distance. I’m allergic to mold and smell no odor, so it was only slightly damp and dried well.
The frame is wood, painted brown with accented gold hobnail edging. I has a little paint wear and very minor edge / corner dings.
Lovely vintage cottage décor for the retro 1940s, 1950s home.
