While the main thrust of this picture booklet is the Royal Wedding of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip in 1947, this is actually a year book of sorts from the Post. Published by the Liverpool Daily Post and Echo "for those who wish to recall for their interest or asthetic appeal....memories of another year". Included are many sports events, shipyard and railroad images, local clubs, pubs, churches, etc.Booklet is soft cover which has come away from the spine at the top. There is also a Gift Message written on the rear. Otherwise, good shape..no torn or missing pages. Nice piece of Royal Memorabilia.
 

Good condition Souvenir ashtray from 1953 Coronation of Queen Elizabeth. Gold trim a little worn, but no chips or breaks. Dated 6/2/1953, measures 3 1/2" square
 

Wonderful condition tin with lovely coronation portrait of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip on the hinged top. Emblem on the back side reads "A SOUVENIR OF THE CORONATION" , the end sides have the year "1953" and on the inside of the lid the confectioner's name "GEORGE W. HORNER & CO. LTD., DURHAM, ENGLAND". There is also a blue paper label on bottom that reads "BLUE BOY ASSORTMENT OF TOFFEES". The tin measures 4 7/8" x 4 3/8" x 3" tall.
