Kromex – Cake Plate and Cover, #2 - Spun Aluminum A glass cake plate with an aluminum cover marked CAKE with white letters inside a black area of hard plastic. It is unmarked but very similar to other Kromex items I’ve seen /had. The glass footed cake plate measures 11-3/8 inches across and has a slotted area for the base of the cover to rest inside. With the cover on, it measures 5-1/2 inches height and the cover is 10 inches across at the base. The plate has 3 feet and they measure 3/8th inch in height. Condition: Used, Has some use dents in the aluminum cover, aluminum needs polished, the plastic where CAKE is written has a very tiny end fleabite. The glass plate has a pattern as shown, and is unmarked and in nice condition with a tiny rough spot on one foot, and the normal manufacturing flaws. Comments: The cover is smooth aluminum on the top and spun aluminum on the sides.

Size: 11-3/8 inches edge to edge, 10-inch grooves for cover or dome, ¾ inch height
Condition: used, vintage, no chips or cracks, rough mold on one foot
Comments: sits on three tiny feet

Cake Breaker, Server – Butterscotch Handle – Patn’d. Schneider C.J. Schneider Mfg. Co., Toledo, Ohio manufactured this cake server, and it has the patent number # 1,858,790 (which dates to 1932) written on handle. Cake server is in good, used condition. Handle is a nice quality that looks to be Bakelite in a butterscotch color. Condition: used

Large Glass Footed Cake Plate Marked: no
Size: 12-3/8 inches across, ¾ inch height - has grooves at 11 inches for a cake cover
Condition: used, no defects except the normal glass manufacturing, one foot has a hint of roughness, probably from the manufacturing process
Comments: has 3 tiny glass feet about ¼ inch in height, has a line pattern that shows thru from the underside, is smooth on the top except for the cake cover lid groove

Cake Knife - Bakelite Handle – Frontier 9-3/4 inch cake knife or pie serving utensil with a 3-1/4 inch Bakelite handle, signed on 1-1/2 inch wide blade: Frontier Forge - Stainless Steel. Condition: used, some marks to metal on back side that doesn’t polish out easily. (check photos) Comments: blade is serrated, or notched on one end for cutting.

Challinor , Taylor - Cake Stand 1885-1890 This floral decorated milk glass cake stand, was made by the Challinor, Taylor Glass Co., 1885-1890. It measures 9 ½ inches across the top and stands 5 ¾ inches in height. Very nice, used condition, for a stand of this age, with no damage, floral decoration are very nice. Floral pattern is " Trumpet Vine".

Depression Glass - Cake Stand- Indiana Glass Co. – 1930’s This is an older cake stand, 11 ¾ inches across and stands 3 ½ inches in height on a 4 ½ inch base. I believe this pattern is called "Old English Threading" and was made by Indiana Glass Co. 1920’s – 1930’s. The top surface is smooth, and the textured threading design comes from the bottom up. Has gold trim, both on the rim and the foot that shows very light wear.

Lancaster Glass / Elegant Three Footed Muffin/ Cake Plate- Sahara- Queen Ann Style A footed plate, Sahara/yellow colored glass, with six turned up tips. Really elegant! Measures 10 inches across and is 1-¾ inches in height, nice condition, has one air bubble, and two surface scratches. I would guess this was a muffin plate, or could be used for cake as well. I believe the maker could be the Lancaster Glass Co. and the pattern is similar to Queen Ann.

Royal China – Blue Heaven – Two Handled Cake Plate A handled cake plate, 11-3/4 inches across measuring at handles, 10-1/2 inches from other angle; backstamped: Blue Heaven, Underglaze By Royal China, Sebring, O. – Made In U.S.A.
Condition: Nice, no chips or cracks, few utensil marks, nice graphics; ABSTRACT LIGHT BLUE & GRAY Design

Kitchen Kraft - Homer Laughlin – Red Band/Gold Filigree –Cake Plate 10-3/4 inch plate with a red band at the rim, and gold filigree about 1 inch in from the rim on a beige or cream body. It is unmarked, but I’d guess it to be Kitchen Kraft or Oven Serve by the Homer Laughlin Co. – has more reinforcement on the bottom than a normal plate. Looks to date from the 1940’s and has no chips or cracks, has normal utensil/ use/ scuff marks for age, and retains a nice shine. Condition: used
