Cold Painted White Metal Camel Inkwell, Large Size, Circa 1920 This inkwell, in the form of a recumbent camel is unmarked but seen this attributed to being American made, circa 1920. The cold painted polychrome, over white cast metal is in very good condition with only very slight wear to the paint. The camel has a decorated saddle which is hinged and serves as the cover for the glass insert. The insert is in very good condition with no chips or cracks, with just some old ink residue. The inkwell measures 8 ¾" across by 5 ½" tall and 4" deep. With the cold paint, the insert and the hinge all being in very good condition, this vintage inkwell is a great find for any collector.

Vintage, Inlaid Mother of Pearl Dip Pen with Red Cloth Case This, late 1800’s, dip pen has a carved mother of pearl handle with red dots inlaid. It has an embossed shaft with a gold nib marked "Elmwood Pen Co. 2". There is no makers mark on the pen itself. It measures 6 ¼" long to the end of the nib. It comes in the original case, which has a worn, red outside covering and red velvet inside lining, which is in good condition, other than the ribbon loop has been torn. The catch is a little out of adjustment and does not latch securely. The pen and nib are in good condition with only the nib being slightly bent and a little wear to the mother of pearl and inlaid dots.

It has a gold nib which is marked "Conklin 2 Toledo". It measures 6 ¼" long to the end of the nib. The pen and nib are in very good condition with only the nib being a little bent and some old ink residue on both.

Carved Black Forest Parrot on Stump Inkwell This hand-painted and carved inkwell is in the shape of a parrot with glass eyes sitting on a tree stump. We believe it to be, turn of the century, German Black Forest made. It has a carved pen holder in the front with the top of the stump being hinged to serve as the cover for a ceramic insert, which has no chips or cracks and the numbers 6643 over 246 on the bottom. It measures 5 ½" tall by 4" across and 4" deep. There is a cloth piece glued to the bottom of the stump. The inkwell is in very good condition with no damage to the wood and only a little wear to the original paint.

Art Deco, Cast White Metal, Arch de Triumph Inkwell, circa 1920 This Arch de Triumph souvenir inkwell was made in the Art Deco style of cast white metal. There are two hinged lids on a rectangular platform with a pen rest across the front. The eight sided wells have color photographic images under glass on the lids which depict The Eiffel Tower and Le Sacre Coeur. The wells have glass inserts which are in very good condition. This circa 1920 inkwell has the Arch de Triumph in the center with "Paris-L Arc de Triomphe" raised on both sides of the base. The inkwell measures 8" across by 3 ¾" deep and 4" tall. It is in very good condition with no damage and only normal wear from age.

The cold painted polychrome, over white cast metal is in very good condition with only a little wear to the paint, mainly the high spots on the legs and a spot on the back of the saddle. The camel has a decorated saddle which is hinged and serves as the cover for the glass insert. The hinge is tight and works as intended. The insert is in very good condition with a flea bite and a little roughness around the top edge. The inkwell measures 5 ½" across by 4" tall and 2 ¾" deep.

Carved Black Forest Scotty Dog Inkwell This hand-carved inkwell is in the shape of a Scotty dog with glass eyes looking over a hollowed out log. We believe it to be German, Black Forest made. The hollowed log serves as a pen holder and the dogs head is hinged to cover a glass insert which has no chips or cracks, just roughness to the opening. It measures 2 ¾" tall by 5" across and 3 ¼" deep. The inkwell is in very good condition with no damage to the wood.

Art Nouveau, Cast Metal Rooster and Hen Figural Inkwell, circa 1900 This cast metal inkwell, has the figures of a crowing rooster and a hen on an Art Nouveau style tray with ornate scroll designs and flowers. The hinged well also has a scroll design on the lid and lifts to find a glass insert which is in very good condition with only some roughness around the outer edges and some old ink residue. This circa 1900 inkwell is unmarked and measures 7" across by 5 ½" deep and 3 ¼" tall. It is in very good condition with only normal wear from age.

Cast Brass and Crystal, Boar Pen Wipe Inkwell, Circa 1870 This low relief decorated cast brass inkstand has the figure of a boar with a pen wipe brush on his back. The base has two small posts to hold the crystal inkwell in place. The inkwell is clear cut crystal with vertical and horizontal cut slots on each side. It has a hinged brass collar holding a dome-shaped cut cover. It measures 2 ¼" square by 3 ½" tall. The inkstand measures 7 ¼" across by 7 ½" deep and 4" tall. The stand is in very good condition with just a little wear to the pen wipe brush and old ink residue, which adds to the great patina. The crystal well is in very good condition with only a few flea bites and the hinge working as intended with the collar not quite square. We have seen this inkwell design attributed to being made in England, circa 1870 although there is no makers mark..

Vintage Carved Mother of Pearl, Dip Pen with Brown Leather Case This vintage dip pen has an intricately carved mother of pearl handle, an embossed shaft and a gold nib marked "A Norton & Son, New York, 2". There is no maker’s mark on the pen itself. The handle is carved in swirls and rings, these make it easy to hold and catch the light beautifully. It measures 6 ¼" long to the end of the nib. . It comes in a brown leather covered case, which has very little wear and red velvet inside lining, which is in good condition. The hook latches both work well. The pen and nib are in very good condition with only the nib being slightly bent.

Figural Spaniel, Fount-O-Ink Inkwell with Pen This Art Deco influenced Fount-O-Ink desk set has a Spaniel pointing next to a brown plastic well with pen holder. The well has the original glass bottle liner which is in good condition with only some old ink residue. The base, spaniel figure and well lid are all made of cast metal with the spaniel having bronze colored plating. It also comes with the original pen which is marked "Fount-O-Ink, 14, KT" on the tip. The base is marked ‘Fount-O-Ink" "Made in U.S.A., Los Angeles, California". The well measures 9" across by 3 ¼" deep and 3 ¾" tall and the pen is 6 ¼" long. All parts are in very good condition with just some plating loss on the dog and some discoloration on the base from age.

Vintage Mother of Pearl Retractable Traveling Dip Pen This, late 1800’s, mother of pearl, traveling, sliding nib, dip pen complete with a period gold nib that reads "F T Pearce & Co., Prov., R I, 1" The retractable pen tip slides in and out so it stows neatly for travel when not in use. It has a smooth Mother of Pearl handle with embossed shaft and no makers mark on the pen itself. Fully extended it measures 6" long and 5" closed. The pen and nib are both in very good condition with only a little, old ink residue.
