Avon Queen Of Scots Perfume Decanter Bottle This white milk glass Queen Of Scots Perfume Decanter Bottle was made by Avon and is filled with Sweet Honesty Cologne.

Avon was strictly an American phenomenon, and a unique and pioneering one at that. The first Avon Lady was actually a man, young door-to-door salesman David McConnell from upstate New York. He launched Avon Calling in 1886, offering women cosmetics in the comfort and privacy of their own homes.
By 1887, McConnell had twelve women employees selling a line of eighteen fragrances. And the numbers kept growing and growing.
In 1939, California Perfume Company name changed to Avon Products, Inc. (10/6/39.) Today, despite the scores of expensive, prestigious American and foreign brand-name cosmetics, Avon ranks first in sales nationwide, with Avon Ladies ringing doorbells from coast to coast.
In very good + condition, without chips, cracks or fleabites it measures 3 1/2 inches tall with a base that measures 2 7/8 inches by 2 7/8 inches.
An addition to any Avon or Feline Collection.
SH & Ins. will be quoted after orders placed. If you have questions contact me and thank you for looking.

Avon Martha Washington Goblet by Fostoria Glass Company This wonderfully crafted cobalt blue Martha Washington goblet with candle insert was made for Avon by the Fostoria Glass Company in 1976.
Fostoria began as a glass-producing house in 1887, the factory was located in Fostoria, Ohio. Within four years, Fostoria moved to Moundsville, WV. In 1891, the company built one furnace capable of firing 14 pieces, a remarkable achievement for the late 19th century glassworks industry.
By 1925, Fostoria’s factory had expanded to include five more furnaces. Throughout the 1930’s, Fostoria struggled to survive. The Great Depression had a notable impact on the luxury glassware market. The Second World War reduced Fostoria’s labor force by half and caused much of the company’s resources to be devoted to the war effort. Like many other companies throughout the United States, Fostoria weathered the hardships imposed by war. It is during the war period that Fostoria produced many of its most famous patterns including Chintz (1940), Colony (1940), Romance (1942), and Holly (1942).
In very good + condition without chips, cracks or fleabites it still has the never used candle insert and measures 8 inches tall by 3 1/2 inches at the top and a 3 1/4 inch base.
An addition to any Cobalt Blue, Avon or Fostoria Glass Collection.
