Wonder Woman Series 3 Season Complete Set
This Complete First, Second and Third Season's of Wonder Woman are marked: 2004 / 2005 / DC Comics / Warner Home Video Inc. / Warner Brothers Television. Wonder Woman is an American television series based on the DC Comics comic book character Wonder Woman, created by William Moulton Marston. It starred Lynda Carter as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman and Lyle Waggoner as Steve Trevor. In 1974, a television movie entitled Wonder Woman (starring Cathy Lee Crosby) aired on American television. This version of the heroine, however, did not resemble the superhero character as she exhibited no super powers and was blond. The next television movie (1975) starring Carter, matched the comic book character and was set during the days of World War II. This 1975 film aired on ABC, and its success led the network to order 2 more one-hour episodes, which aired several weeks apart. That success led ABC to order an additional 11 episodes and place the show in regular rotation; airing the program on a weekly basis on Wednesday nights during early 1976. Although the show was successful on ABC, the network was hesitant about picking up the series for a second season. Wonder Woman was a period piece (set in the 1940s) and therefore, more expensive to produce than a present-day series. CBS quickly picked up the show and retooled it, setting it in then-present-day 1970s. The show would air for an additional two seasons on CBS after its first season run on ABC. The first season is open and contains 3 cd's that play beautifully while the second and third season remain sealed in their original packaging. An addition to any Television Memorabilia Collection. SH & Ins. will be quoted after orders placed. If you have any other questions please contact me and thank you for looking.
