Glass > Glass - Brilliant Cut and Crystal

Enjoy scrolling through EAPG (Early American Pattern/Pressed Glass), other vintage glass, pottery, silver, pewter, old coins, collector books, cylinder records, etc. New unused, precious and semi-precious gem jewelry, STERLING, gold-filled or plate, and older costume jewelry will be added as it is sorted.

I am strictly a collector, not an expert, and I don't buy large lots of material.
Glass (EAPG) is my focus, but I also inherited a lot of "stuff" from my parents, much of it collected in the 1950's-1960's (semi-antique), and much of their material dating back to the Victorian era. It's taking a long time, but I will slowly add interesting items, along with photos and as much history as I know about them.

Only large items such as furniture, rugs, phonographs, etc., are not practical for this venue. However, if you are local to northwest CT, and can pick-up an item, feel free to email and inquire.

If paying by check, please issue to:
Gerry Daniels
PO Box 457
Salisbury, CT 06068

Thanks,
Ger

238

ABP cut glass water decanter TB Clark? *NMint A sparkling cut glass water bottle, thought to be from the American Brilliant Period, condition is *Near mint, with only an occasional light scuff mark. Design consists of fans & strawberry diamonds, with 9 repeats. There is a 24 point star in the base. The neck has 8 zipper edged flute cuts, with 2 areas of horizontal banding. This resembles a decanter made by T. B. Clark & Co. shown in Evers’ book (see pg. 70). See also Revi pg. 238. Not marked, but definitely quality cutting (see photos). Blacklight tested: glows green. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation, 5 lbs. from 06068. #238

460

4 Skruf Kungsholm clear smoke w white foot ice tea goblets Super mint set of 4 iced tea or parfait (?) goblets by Swedish maker Skruf in the pattern shape of Kungsholm. Goblets are a faint gray clear leaded glass, with a white foot & short white 5-lobed stem. I believe this pattern was made as early as 1930’s, but this color combination suggests a later era, perhaps 1960-70’s? Measure 6 1/8" tall; 3 ½" across the top. No damage. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation, 4 lbs. from 06068. #460

2 Mikasa DECO tall candlesticks near-MINT Mikasa listed these under giftware and called the design Deco, which seems quite appropriate. They are tall at 9 ½ inches, and made of a beautiful clear, sparkling leaded crystal. Thus they are heavy. One might note a tiny roughness on one of the edges, a very minor defect which I felt once but not again when I looked for it. Otherwise in great shape. This pattern was discontinued in 1988. Not marked. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority, with free Delivery Confirmation, 8 ½ lbs. from 06068. #552

Leaded Cut glass Polish pitcher MINT My parents brought this from Poland in the 1960’s. Although there are no labels, I can vouch for this origin since this was their first trip abroad, and it was to Poland. This appears to be a milk pitcher size; has an applied handle with cut designs on it. The overall body design consists of 7 repeats of, among other things, 7 hobstars, finecut on diamonds, and, in addition, below the handle where the pattern is shortened, are 2 more diamonds with finecut. Under the base is a 16 point star. This pitcher is very heavy, but has a nice balance and bright sparkly crystal. No damage. MINT. Displayed but never used. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority, with free Delivery Confirmation, 5 lbs. from 06068. #550

Lovely swirled design leaded glass bowl, age? I don’t know the age of this bowl is, but the design is really soothing, resembling various old swirled and snail patterns. It has a leaded glass ring like flint when gently tapped, and no damage. I suspect that it is contemporary, but someone may recognize it to be older. Measure 6 ½ inches across x 2 5/8 inches tall. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority, with free Delivery Confirmation, 3 lbs. from 06068. #520

Click for more detail...

554

2 tall Bohemian whiskey glasses, cut berries MINT 2 more interesting glasses brought from Europe by my parents, a pair of handled whiskey glasses. But these still have their silvered paper label from a later trip: Bohemia Glass Made in Czechoslovakia. They’re tall at 4 ¼ inches and narrow at 1 ¼ inches across the top, getting slightly wider and thicker at the base. The top is manufacturer ground; there is a leaf and berries engraving which seems well-executed. There is an applied handle. Each holds a maximum of 3 ounces and could be used as cordials. They are in MINT condition with no damage, chips, cracks, etc. Displayed but never used. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority, with free Delivery Confirmation, 1 ½ lbs. from 06068. #554

Click for more detail...

439

Sparkling Orrefors Ltd edition crystal Liberty Tree plate c 1976 "The Liberty Tree" is the Franklin Mint’s first limited edition lead crystal plate, hand-crafted by Orrefors artisans in Sweden. Originally retailing for $230, plate measures 10 ¼" in diameter, with a soft frosted intaglio center design by artist Gilroy Roberts. Motto around design: "Beneath the boughs of liberty tree- where met the sons of liberty." Signed in the right lower corner with initials GR, and with a subtle mark "1976 Orrefors Sweden," seen on the lower marie (edge which rests on the table) when held at a certain angle…very easy to miss it! Minor surface scratches under the base, but otherwise in excellent condition. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation, 6 lbs. from 06068. #439

Heisey: Exquisite early engraved candy jar Known officially as Revere no. 1183 blank, this candy jar base has what is believed to be a Gravic engraving, c 1914-1928, possibly done by TG Hawkes! Realistic grapes, leaves & vines adorn this lovely old piece. Measures 6 ¾" tall; marked with diamond H for Heisey. Other than a small nick on the design there is no damage (see last photo close-up). A shearline noted inside is consistent with the age of the pattern. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation, 3 lbs. from 06068. #324
