Unique Vintage Butterscotch Amber Necklace
This lovely vintage Butterscotch amber necklace, measures approximately 30" in length and consists of large beads alternated with groups of 3 nuggets. Between each bead or nugget group there is a small, what appears to be, brass bead. Each bead is unique in shape, color and size, ranging from 1/2" to about 1" in length. The necklace weighs 110 grams (about 3.8 oz). The beads and nuggets are all highly polished with the natural crevices and impurities put there by nature. The closure is a barrel clasp. I have only found one small chip in a bead, which does not detract from its natural beauty. With its Art-Deco appearance I would say it was made between the 1930's and 1950's.
