Under the bust of Dewey is inscribed "Dewey The Hero of Manila."Fine crazing throughout and pieces of clay grit are exposed on both the front and back. No chips or cracks. (289E)

General Haig Plate Made by S.C. Richard, c. 1920. Heavily reticulated 8 ¾" pottery plate with a high glaze. Fine gold line decoration surrounds the bust portrait and the rectangular reticulated sections. These lines are washed out and spotty around the left side of the portrait and washed out between some of the rectangles.A fine surface hairline exists on one of the edge points. Sir Douglas Haig is known for the British Army’s Somme offensive. Very good condition. (287E)

Admiral Dewey Coalport Plate Made by Coalport, c. 1900. 10 ¼" d. Blue and white with gold rim and finely scalloped edges. Features Admiral Dewey and border flags denote six ships of the Spanish American War. There are several fine surface scratch marks which you can catch in the light, located on the center surface from below Dewey’s eyebrows to the American flags. Inscription reads "Manila, May 1898." No chips or cracks. (290E)

Muskingum McConnelsville Folk Art Shells Dated 1931 and signed C.P.J., the shells depict the Muskingum, River in Ohio and the Devil’s Tea Table, a rock formation I assume is in McConnelsville, Ohio. The shell with the boaters is 5 7/8" long, the other shell is 5 3/8" long. They are not a matched pair of shells. Both shells are shellacked or lacquered over the illustrations and both have 2 holes punched at the top. They are unique, and may be black memorabilia – hard to tell. (SHART)

Independence Hall Mug Maker undocumented, possibly Boston & Sandwich, 1876. This souvenired mug is etched "1876’ and "Asenathy" is surrounded by a well done etched wreath. Certainly a souvenir of the 1876 Philadelphia Centennial Exhibition. The bottom is impressed with the Independence Hall Building, surrounded by "1876" and "Independence Hall."
