1959 Portable Red Channel Master 6 Transistor Radio This battery operated radio is an AM portable radio by Channel Master model 6506B. What a nostalgic look this item has. The ruby red color is amazing and the radio case is NOT cracked or chipped.

It is called the Channel Master 6 Transistor Cordless radio. The leather case has some surface damage but still together and functional. This radio works great and has been checked over thoroughly.

It takes 4 batteries of the size AA (small flashlight batteries).

Click for more detail...

3108

1950's Stuart-Warner Pink AM Clock Tube Radio Mod 9187J Another fun item from the pink section. This radio is indeed a classic from the late 1950's or early 1960's. It is the old vacuum tube type of AM broadcast radio and the radio has been restored to nearly pristine operations. The sound is not what modern digital electronics brings, but for its time the radio works very well.

The clock works great and you can set it to sound an alarm or to turn on the radio to your favorite station. You can also plug in another appliance into the timed outlet in back of the radio (see photo) that turns on with the alarm setting. In those days it was popular to plug in the coffeemaker as no coffeemaker had a timer clock in those days.

Stuart-Warner didn't make a lot radios during those years so this item is rare and even more rare in the pink color. The time clock is easy to set and all the knobs are in good condition.

There is a statement on the back of the radio saying that the timed outlet will accommodate any appliance up to 1100 watts of power which is a very good amount for a timer clock. This pink delight clock radio is a great find and there are no chips or cracks in the beautiful case that I can find. There is some minor scratches on the top of the radio as shown in the photo.

Size: 6.5 inches tall by 12 inches long and 5 inches deep.

Click for more detail...

3055

1940 Airline Model 04WG-668 Portable AM Radio This radio has been totally repaired and is functioning great! The electronics have been serviced, the light replaced in the dial, the cloth replaced on the speaker front and a new electrical cord has been installed.

You will really enjoy the old times with this collector item. It picks up lots of stations with its built-in antenna inside the back cover. The electrical cord wraps around a circle mount inside the rear cover. This portable unit also worked with special batteries (hard to find these days), and the battery plugs are intact and the AC/Battery switch on the back of the electronics is working.

This is the old style tube type radio. You have to let the tubes warm up for about 15 to 20 seconds before the radio comes alive. The front cover has a latch like a brief case and when folded up and latched, the unit looks a lot like an old suitcase. The exterior of the radio is in excellent condition as shown in the photos.

This Airline brand Model 04WG-668 was made for Montgomery Wards as Airline was their radio brand name. This radio comes with a printout of the electrical schematics of all the electronic parts so if it should ever need repair, you can give the repairman the schematics for easy problem resolution.

This radio is unique in that the AM dial is backwards with the small numbered station being on the right and the large number station (1600) being on the left. This radio was made before the standardization practices for dial presentation became reality. What a find!

This radio measures approximately 11 inches tall (including handle) by 14 inches wide and 7.5 inches deep.

3093

1950's Sears & Roebuck AM Tube Type Radio This wonderful Sears Silvertone radio is working great as it has been gone through my electrical service and parts replacement procedure and any failing parts replaced.

The model number information is missing from this radio but from the looks of the electronic design, it most certainly was from the early 1950's. There is a Sears & Roebuck metal tag on the back stating the radio chassis number is 132.818-1.

The case of the radio is metal and someone has repainted it but looks great. There is an antenna wire that can be unfolded and hung down behind a table to increase reception. This is a very compact little unit and fun to have around.

There are no numbers on the radio dial knob so you just have to dial the knob until you recognize the station. That isn't hard as this radio only brings in local stations. Pretty Fun!

3106

1950 GE Bakelite AM Tube Type Radio This wonderful General Electric model 400 radio is working great as it has been gone through my electrical service and parts replacement procedure and any failing parts replaced. It has a good sound. The case has also been polished and is in pristine condition with no chips or cracks that I can find.

This is a heavy built radio, as most of the old ones were, and it will weigh in at approximately 10 pounds total after it is packed. The shipping calculations are set to that amount so the cost estimate you get by clicking on the calculator at the bottom of this description will be accurate.

The most unique feature of this radio is the lighted dial. The small backlight bulb is at the end of the dial indicator pointer so as you move the dial indicator, the light moves with it which means you can even see what station you are in to very dim lighting. Very cool!

1951 GE Clock Radio Model 50 What a great find this radio is. It has been serviced and is working wonderfully. It has a good clear sound and has the famous General Electric alarm clock that will wake you up to radio music every morning should you so desire.

The left knob is the volume control and the right knob is the AM station selector (there were no FM public stations in 1951).

On the back is a wire antenna that you can unroll and stretch out behind your table or cabinet just like they did in the old days. That will bring in the distant stations much better.

This wonderful radio is working properly.

3103

Rare 1954 Bulova Bakelite Clock Radio Model 100 What a great find this radio is. It has been serviced and is working wonderfully. It has a good clear sound and has the famous Bulova electric alarm clock that will wake you up to radio music every morning should you so desire.

The left side knob is the volume control and the right side knob is the AM station selector (there were no FM public stations in 1954).

On the back is a built-in antenna. It will bring in the distant stations much better. There is also a timed outlet to operate other electrical items with the clock timer.

What is unusual about this model radio is that the plastic lenses cover the clock and the dial are in wonderful condition. Most times these are cloudy, cracked or distorted but they are beautiful on this radio so it must have not spent much time in the sunshine or by a window.

Bulova did not make radios very long. This unit is a collectors item for sure.

To make this radio even more unique, there is a brass dedication plate on top of the radio stating that "Seniors of 54" gave this radio to possibly their teacher and his name is also on the plaque.

Size: 6 inches tall by 12 inches wide and 6 inches deep
