ts6545

Vintage Hull Pottery Sunglow Ovenproof Mixing Bowl Vintage Hull Pottery Sunglow Yellow Pink Ovenproof Mixing Bowl. Hull Pottery was founded in 1907 when Addis E. Hull purchased Acme Pottery (1903-1905) in Zanesville, Ohio. Originally specializing in stoneware, by 1920 Hull was producing artware, florist pots, kitchenware, tiles and stoneware featuring popular pastel matte finishes.

A flood/fire in the 1950s ruined kilns; the new equipment could never duplicate the matte finish. Hull became glossy. Production ceased in 1985. This bowl has pink floral pattern on a yellow background. It was made by Hull Pottery and produced in 1952. It is marked on the bottom with Ovenproof USA.

It is about 3 1/8" tall and about 5 5/7" across. It has some craze lines on the inside, common in pieces of this age, otherwise in excellent condition, no chips.

Please see our other listings for additional pieces of vintage pottery.

ts6420

Vintage Capodimonte Italian Porcelain Cherub Light Lamp Vintage Capodimonte Italian Porcelain Cherub Light Lamp with Gold accents on a beige background. This is a fabulous piece! It features a pattern of cherubs with flowers with heavy gold accents complimented by a light beige background. The pattern is even more detailed as every other panel with the flowers on it has leaf shaped reticulated pattern, this is to allow the light to shine through.

It would be perfect on a mantle, entry table or bedside table, perfect for soft lighting.

The top comes off, sort of like a urn so that the light bulb can be installed, the lamp body and sits on a gilt bronze or brass base with reticulated base. The estimated date on this piece is 1920 to 1940, It is 14" tall, the top part of the lamp under the lid is 6 1/2" across and the base of the lamp is 5 1/4" across.

Given the age it is in beautiful condition, no chips, the knob on the top of the lid has a couple of tight hairlines that are age related, really hard to see, base of the lamp has age to the gold, don't know if could be made to shine again, adds to the patina of the piece. It is in working condition and takes a standard size light bulb, has a toggle off/on switch on the back of the metal base.

An outstanding example of the work Capodimonte is well known for. A beautiful decorative piece for your collection or decor.
