This red transfer printed tile is from a series titled Fresco Heads made by Wedgwood in England, circa 1880. Measures 6" square and depicts a snipe (bird) guarding her eggs.. One of the nice colors in this series and a hard to find tile. Minor edge wear. (#1712)
