Art: Mercury silvered candlestick grape & leaves etch

I love these old silvered items; they are so unusual. A mercury concoction was swished around inside the hollow blown candlestick to make the glass look like real silver. It was then sealed to protect the interior coating from deterioration. When I got this stick, the hole on the bottom was open....
